Cheerleading game set for the Balance Board

All-Star Cheerleader coming to Nintendo Wii
In an investor conference call yesterday, THQ CEO Brian Farrel revealed that the company is developing a cheerleading game for use with the Wii Fit Balance Board.

No other details were mentioned, but it's not hard to extrapolate from the title that players will have to perform a variety of physical moves on the Balance Board in time to an assortment of different songs.

According to Kotaku, Farrel was kind enough to clarify the intended audience for the title, saying that the game was "going right after girls". Just in case you were having doubts about whom THQ was aiming this at.

If all goes well, All-Star Cheerleading should be with us sometime this year, and will no doubt cause more humiliation to games reviewers than Wii Fit ever did. We can't wait to see Official Nintendo Magazine have a go at reviewing this one in front of us. Cameras at the ready!
