S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Clear Sky out August 29

GSC slaps a release date on its irradiated prequel
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Clear Sky has been slapped with an August 29 release date, developer GSC Game World staying true to its promise that the game would be out in 2008.

Clear Sky acts as a prequel to events portrayed in GSC's S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chernobyl. A number of features planned for the first title that were eventually dropped are returning, meaning we're expecting a game far closer to its original vision for the first outing in the Zone.

PC Gamer's Clear Sky preview dives deep into the history of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and the developer's plans for the new game.

How many people think it will be delayed?

I haven't really been following this one (I really don't know why), but I'm sure I'll get it, I enjoyed Stalker enough.

Not long after my birthday Very Happy
I ran Stalker on my computer quite well, do you think these specs will be roughly the same?

its the same engine as the last game but it has been spruced up a bit, so you should expect very much the same specs, just a tad higher.

but although i wanted the release to be slightly earlier i always expected it to slip slightly further away. im not holding out any hope that it will meet this date but if it does, that is absolutely fan-f**king-tastic. WOOT!!
