Telltale finally confirms Sam & Max for Wii

Straight from the developer (so it might not be retracted this time)
Telltale Games has revealed that the detective duo is on its way to Wii. But we kind of knew that anyway...

The title will be a compilation of the downloadable episodes from the series' first season, originally released in 2006.

It will be published by Austrian publisher JoWooD, who previously announced the project in January only for Telltale to then refute it. It's usually the other way around in our experience.

Telltale games are also working on something for WiiWare, but has denied any connection to Sam & Max.

After all this fuzz over Sam & Max though, we'd have to see screens of an all new game before we'd believe them. Episodes from Sam & Max season two on WiiWare sounds like a sure-fire hit.

In related news, Telltale Games showed off the final episode of season two yesterday, sending us some screens and videos as a teaser. Sam & Max fans are sure to be interested, so hit the link.

I downloaded the free episode they gave away for PC and didn't like the game. The humour was that annoying American if I shout and act stupid people will laugh type comedy.

The wii could be the perfect platform to re-launch point and click games; would like to see the likes of Monkey Island, Broken Sword etc... appear on the psp too.

The new Sam&Max stuff has been nothing but panned on the PC, so a wii port doesn't interest me at all. If this gets the ball moving for some Point and Click on the console though, that's nothing but a good thing.

Get the original writers and do a new monkey island, and im there.

Wow, I thought everyone loved the new Sam & Max. I know I certainly do. It's absolutely perfect for the Wii. Might even convince myself to get it again. And will probably get Season 2 on Wiiware if that happens.

I've never played a Sam and Max game, though I've certainly been aware of them. I loved Grim Fandango and will probably get Sam and Max on the Wii

It's good that the Wii is getting another genre of games added to it's growing library. Point and Click can't really be done on the other consoles very well, so hopefully we'll see some more on Wii and DS in the coming months.

The first Sam n Max was awesome. I like the episodic way they have done season 1 and 2. I enjoy them personally. I am a big fan of point & Click adventures though.
