LittleBigPlanet is currently in development for PSP at Sony Studio Liverpool, a source has told CVG today.
No further details were offered as to how the game will work on the PSP, but if true, we'd expect the portable edition to feature link up options with the PS3 version, set for release in September.
We could see scope for transferable levels, or a level editor on the PSP that would allow you to keep working on your creations even when away from the PS3.
We could also imagine the relatively basic 2D gameplay of the console version working well on the portable, although it would be interesting to see how the physics mechanics would convert. If the impressive bendy physics in games like Loco Roco are anything to go by, it could work pretty well.
never know, it could be remote play. Or maybe even like this new Blu-Ray to PSP movie feature, could be a version you download to your PSP from the main PS3 disc.
This is good news for me. The PSP is ridiculously lacking in good games, all I play on it are ps1, SNES etc. roms, homebrew, and the majority of the games I've bought are just console ports (not that this is any different) Also this was one of the only dedicated PS3 games coming out that I was interested in, guess I have even less reason to buy one now

They should of done remote play with GT5 pro, that would of been awesome, maybe the full version will include this! *he says, as if they are listening*
Pointless, decreasing Ps3 sales. I'll get both no doubt if you get some cool features but my Ps3 version will be the one i'm aiming for first.
Could be good though.
I agree, utterly pointless. I wouldn't mind a PSP version, but they should have left it until they had the PS3 version out. What was the point in building all that hype for LBP if they just go and dump it on their 3 year old handheld?
Look for more hype-dampening Sony announcements tomorrow - Home PSP, MGS4 goes portable, patch on the way to turn UMD into Blu-Ray, and Killzone 2 becomes Killzone Liberation 2!
All I can say is SCEE's PR Dept probably don't even know about this exsisting - so when they say "no comment" they're probably as shocked to hear about it as most people...
