Alone in the Dark demo only on 360?

Publisher has nothing to say about other platforms getting a playable demo
We find it incredibly hard to believe Atari will ONLY release an Alone in the Dark demo for Xbox 360 but that, officially, is all the firm's saying at the moment.

"No demos have been confirmed for other platforms", an Atari rep told us this morning.

We reported earlier this week that the Xbox 360 Alone in the Dark demo will release around the game's launch time, June 20.

But beyond that, well, the publisher's keeping its lips well and truly sealed.

Alone in the Dark on Xbox 360 is joined by PC, Wii and PS2 versions on June 20. A PS3 version is due later in the year.

What's the point of bringing out a demo at the same time as the game release? Numptys!!

The PS3 version is probably just lagging behind the 360 version then, and they won't confirm a PS3 demo until they have a better idea of when they'll be able to ship the PS3 version?

They will release another demo they just dont know when as the game on the PS3 is no where near ready. Demos can make or break a game so they wont want to release a crap PS3 one if it's not ready yet.

Yeah but surely it would be better for them as well as us if the demo was out a few weeks before the full game surely. Bad marketing me thinks.

i dont think it matters, i'd like to know how many people really download a demo before they buy anyway, cant remember the last time i did.

i try all the demos, even of games i know i wont buy. just good these days to get stuff for free. i'm not sure though why publishers do it. i may have been tempted with turok as i loved the n64 game but after playing the demo i steered well clear.

I've played it. It's fantastic in all areas but one: the voice acting is dire. It's truly truly awful.

But, graphically, the game looks about the best imaginable!

Sh1t. I was looking forward to this, but diabolical voice acting can ruin the atmos in any game for me (one of the reasons that, while I love RPGs, I don't play that many of them!)

I hope the voice acting is bearable 'cause otherwise this is looking very appealing...

The Delaystation 3 strikes again!...they're probably trying to get the install size & time down, maybe a loading screen & flashing title bars will help?.. Wink

I know they were going to 'tone it down' but right now, Edward says "f**k" to pretty much anything at the drop of a hat.

His old (and rather gorgeous) girlfriend appears and all he can say is "f**k! Who the f**k are you?"

Not an auspicious start.

I wanted this for my ps3 but im not going to wait. Metal gear solid 4 i will buy but it wont be a huge game for me, im looking forward to this more. Sucks that all the ps3 releases of games are so bloody behind.
