See how the Wii Lightsaber works

New Force Unleashed web doc shows off Wii version - multiplayer included
LucasArts has ahem, 'unleashed' the latest web documentary for Star Wars: Force Unleashed, showing just how you swing a Lightsaber with the Wii Remote (and stylus).

Expectedly, it doesn't look like the flawless 1:1 sabre thwoom-fest we imagined in our dreams, but the first proper Star Wars game of the generation definitely looks better in motion on Wii (and stunning on PS3/360).

The video also shows off the game's duelling multiplayer mode, which look a bit like a Star Wars fan's wet dream; pick from one of tens of Jedi or Sith lords, then slash the crap out of each other in famous film locals like Hoth or Tatooine.

It's out on September 19. We remain optimistic.

It was done in the Episode 3 game, so my load was blown long ago.

Still, I'll be getting the Wii version mainly because I don't have a 360 or PS3 and don't want either, either.

Looks okay. Not a big Star Wars fan really, but I can see this one being a lot more fun on Wii than anywhere else down to the control setup. Providing the controls work smoothly that is.

So another waggle the wii-remote and hope for the best game then Sad I am really disappointed with the Wii personally.

Be disappointed with the dev, not the system. The system can do 1:1, its a matter of how hard the dev works at mastering the motion controls.

True but unfortunately consoles are defined by their games and in my opinion and there is only 3 games worth owning and they are all by Ninty.

I saw the Wii lightsaber video and was so impressed by it, I wanted to send it to everyone I know. But I can't because there's no 'share' button. Instead I have to send the text / supporting page and explain to everyone how they need to click on the box to the right, in the panel...etc, etc. Can you add a 'share' button to videos? Who knows, my friends may even sign up to CVG after watching the video.
