Solid Snake pops up in Track & Field

Load of new details inside
Solid Snake has been confirmed as a playable character in Konami's new version of International Track and Field.

Snake will be joining other Konami characters Pyramid Head, Frogger, Evil Rose, Simon Belmont, Sparkster and Pentarou, who are also appearing in the game.

If this all sounds too much like Sega Superstars Tennis to you, then you won't be surprised to learn its being developed by SUMO Digital - the studio who brought you that exact title. We can't wait to see what they develop next - Rocking Rockstar Rowboating starring Tommy Vercetti and Lazlow Jones, perhaps?

Actually, that would be awesome. We love Sega Superstar Tennis and can't think why anything they do wouldn't be good, including New International Track and Field.

In addition to competing over twenty-four events including Javelin and Shooting, Track and Field also includes an online 'newsfeed' system. This service updates world records in game as and when they are broken, along with tournament updates and real time information about your friend's status. You can also send taunts and messages, mocking how out of shape your friend's digital characters must be to lose to you.

Take a look at our New International Track and Field page for some screens and information.

What happened to the days when these games used to be developed 'in house'?

This will be yet another generic load of crap a la Sega Superstar Tennis.

Don't Sega and Konami make their own bloody games anymore? MadMad
