The very first in-game footage from the much anticipated Gears of War 2 is smashing onto the internet on May 9.
Microsoft has confirmed to CVG that gameplay footage from Epic's big sequel will be unleashed on May 9, 11pm Pacific time - that's May 10, 7am here in the UK.
Microsoft has told us: "It will be approximately 90-120 seconds in length", and will "have an intro by Cliff and then show gameplay footage from the campaign". Multiplayer won't be shown.
No further hints as to what might be in the trailer were offered. But at least you'll get to see more than the mass-draw and water-effect demonstrations showcasing the latest Unreal tech at the GDC unveiling in February.
As well as the new plot, the sequel promises to raise the bar even further than the first on a technical front, with "technological advance" on Unreal Engine III.

Yes too similar to a multi-unit shifting game with a formula that a lot of people liked. Didn't stop CoD2 or Resi2 from being tasty all the same. Fingers crossed for a cooking sim this time.
Shame they have to show footage so early with these big games though. Takes away some of the suprise when you actually get round to playing it.
Seems strange to me that nothing has been shown of Killzone2 for a while.....

Sorry but there was a massive difference between the graphic quality from those games. Besides i didn't say i wasn't gonna buy it, I just said they could be similar.

The first GoW is the only reason I got my xbox 360 in the first place but I got RROD with in the first 2 hours of gameplay which really p**sed me off. Got my replacement and that went with in the first weekend. So I'm not taking a side in this pathetic console war before you ladies start but my confidence in xbox360 is shattered I given it to my nephew. But I hope this tops the first one I'm sure it will but all I will see is videos online of it and read reviews coz I'm not wasting money on fickle machines.

tekken 6 going to 360 as well???!! i got both ps3 and 360 but even i shall be annoyed if this comes out for the 360, now this is a game associatted with the playstation to me.... plus the 360's controller just doesnt suit fighting games...

COD2, yes, as it was on a next gen console. Resi 2, no, it looked slightly bettr at best. As for this game, obviously its going to be similar, just like any other sequel. The whole point is everyone knows whaat they are getting, same with GTA4, MGS4 etc...
