Final Fantasy IV on DS this summer, new shots

Square Enix sends us some stuff about the RPG remake
Final Fantasy IV on DS has been slapped with a summer 2008 release date for PAL land, Square Enix dolloping on a bit of extra FF-fun with new shots from the game.

It's a remake of the original, "With improved 3D graphics, fully-voiced dramatic cut-scenes, an inspiring remixed score and additional content never before seen".

That new content includes new episodes, an Event Theatre bonus mode that lets you replay any scenes that have already been viewed and a new mini-game in which you can nurture your own summon monster and battle a mate over wireless.

"Final Fantasy IV is a benchmark in RPG history. This improved version of Final Fantasy IV is a great opportunity for fans, old and new alike, to experience one of the definitive titles in the Final Fantasy series in an exciting and innovative new way", John Yamamoto, president and CEO of Square Enix, has said.

This was the first FF I played - not my favourite but the nostalgia will make me buy this remake (even though I already have two versions - SNES and PS1)

One of the best of the FF series for sure, and I can't wait. Seeing how well they did with FFIII this one should be well impressive as the story is hundreds of times better. YAY!

If this is as good as FFIII, I can't wait!

Have seen a couple of trailers for this, and I'm liking the look of it. Might have to pick it up whenever it's unleashed!
