Nintendo has denied internet reports that the Metroid Prime Trilogy in its entirety is coming to Wii.
According to GoNintendo, a tipster claimed that the computer system of a retailer had a new Wii game listed as 'Metroid Prime Trilogy'.
Internet speculation jumped to the obvious conclusion that Metroid Prime 1, 2 and 3 were being repackaged as one and the GameCube games were being revamped for the console.
But speaking to CVG, Nintendo labelled the rumour as "Purely rumour and speculation."
Imho, theres plenty of games around to be played, about 10 good ones were released over the last 2 months alone, so you've no excuse.
But what kind of person keeps a console that they dont play? Probably the same kind of person who'll moan about something, then say he owns it just to give his point some validity.

As I only own one of the Metroid Prime series, I would be very interested in getting the trilogy all with Wii controls, because games like that work best with the Wii controls.
I certainly have no interest in playing games like that with a regular gamepad anymore....

Totally agree. It's something that really p**ses me off. Every Wii article now has someone moaning about the lack of games. It's pathetic. It has a bigger and better collection than Ps3 certainly and i'd say (even though it was released a year later), it already has a better lot of games than the Xbox 360. You missed out Paper Mario, Zack and Wiki and for new owners, Wii Sports is a great experience.

I wouldn't mind paying for a Metroid Prime Trilogy package. I have the second and final one, but not the first. And anyway Nintendo should do more special edition packages anyway, they simply do not do enough to get the hardcore gamer on their side.
I'm not usually interested in remakes and ports (especially when the originals were released not that long ago), but Metroid Prime 1 and 2 are such good games I might just consider rebuying them for the controls alone. It's all just rumour, however, and I rather wish they would make an all new Metroid instead.

I can't help but notice that the basis of your argument is 'bad' graphics = bad game.
If you seriously believe that, then you are totally missing the point about gameplay when it comes to the Wii.
You will no doubt be much happier playing a super shiny, yet unbelievably brown, generic FPS where you control a lone marine out for revenge against the aliens who killed his wife or something, shouting "ZOMG!! PWNAGE!!" down your voice chat line, with a gamepad that just doesn't work as well as the Wii remote with those kind of games.

Seriously, the 'next gen' versions of Pro Evo are pathetic. It looked like Konami had completely messed up what was a great series, then they released the Wii version. You carry on being frustrated by your players not running into the open space, us Wii owners will be able to have full control over that with every attack. And if you want to play Bully on XBox, go ahead, just remember to save the game every 30 seconds in case the bugs that aren't present in the Wii version are unleashed...

Well its the same old stuff as 1 & 2. I dont think controls are that good, The most accurate will always be the Mouse on a PC.
And why no Online?
I would have bought it just for the online but since nintendo though why bother when people will buy it anyway, i then didnt bother...

Gears of War 360/PC has excellent gameplay, Excellent Story, Online etc yet it has amazing Visuals.
Its not always Good Graphics = Crap.
Id rather see Nintendo bring out a powerhouse and have amazing sound quality with amazing graphics.

Excite Truck - Rubbish Controls, Crap Graphics, Crappy version of MotorStorm which at least has online. No More Heroes - Again, poor graphics, crap game. Mario Kart Wii - good Endless Ocean - never heard of it. Mario Strikers: Charged - Another football game? PES 2008 - Better off on Xbox 360 with Xbox Live, at least theres voice chat... Okami - just better colours and different controls. Reviews say that the wii controls arnt that good for painting. Probably can get it for £8 on PS2... Trauma Center - Gimmiky Crap. Resident Evil 4 - Again was on GC, not goona pay £40 for "different" controls, never fan of the series. Bully - Again better on Xbox, Better Colours, Graphics, Achievments, better controls. Call of Duty 3 - 4 is out on Xbox 360, again better online, better graphics, voice chat, achievements.
And in the Future:
Super Smash Bros - Repetative... Boom Blox - Call that a game? The Blob - again seriously will be fun for 5 Minutes. Day Of Disaster - never heard of it.

I can't help but notice that the basis of your argument is 'bad' graphics = bad game.
If you seriously believe that, then you are totally missing the point about gameplay when it comes to the Wii.
You will no doubt be much happier playing a super shiny, yet unbelievably brown, generic FPS where you control a lone marine out for revenge against the aliens who killed his wife or something, shouting "ZOMG!! PWNAGE!!" down your voice chat line, with a gamepad that just doesn't work as well as the Wii remote with those kind of games.
I'm not even going to bother with most of your comments because they are just so laughable, but there are some I will question...
Seriously, the 'next gen' versions of Pro Evo are pathetic. It looked like Konami had completely messed up what was a great series, then they released the Wii version. You carry on being frustrated by your players not running into the open space, us Wii owners will be able to have full control over that with every attack. But hey, at least you'll have voice chat on Live...
And if you want to play Bully on XBox, go ahead, just remember to save the game every 30 seconds in case the bugs that aren't present in the Wii version are unleashed...

Gears of War 360/PC has excellent gameplay, Excellent Story, Online etc yet it has amazing Visuals.
Its not always Good Graphics = Crap.
Id rather see Nintendo bring out a powerhouse and have amazing sound quality with amazing graphics.
So dont start with "Gameplay over Graphics" because with Wii you have to comprimise but not when it comes to PS3, Xbox 360 or PC.

Just having good graphics, does not equal good gameplay, in the same way that bad graphics do not equal bad gameplay.
The perfect example of what I'm trying to say is Assassins Creed. Its beautiful, but man is that game boring and repetitive, yet you get people looking at the graphics and saying its the greatest game ever, and thats exactly whats wrong with the games industry and why I have a Wii, because I want to actually enjoy playing the game, not put up with sub-standard games for the sake of shiny graphics...
If you can't understand that, its really your loss as you go through generic brown FPS #474... Have fun.

Totally agree. It's something that really p**ses me off. Every Wii article now has someone moaning about the lack of games. It's pathetic. It has a bigger and better collection than Ps3 certainly and i'd say (even though it was released a year later), it already has a better lot of games than the Xbox 360. You missed out Paper Mario, Zack and Wiki and for new owners, Wii Sports is a great experience.

In all of the mentioned Wii-games, the graphics are effective. It a fact that graphics are less important than gameplay. After all it's games that you play and not games you look at. I'm not saying that graphics are not important. The graphics just have to serve gameplay and not the other way around.
I enjoyed Excite Truck a lot. I doesn't look THAT bad. And the races are fast, frantic and competitive. It's not without its flaws though. The multiplayer isn't up there. I don't consider the absence of online-play as a flaw. Although I would have liked it.
Same with COD3 on Wii. Sure the graphics don't compare to the other version on Xbox360 and PS3. But the control works and makes it much more intense. And I also enjoyed the other version a lot.
That's it, I could go on discussing this for hours. But maybe I boring you all. I think I've made my point.

You don't know what Endless Ocean is, and you don't even seem interested in finding out. So you'll be missing out on one of the most unique gaming experiences on ANY console.

For many (though certainly not all) genres of games, the wiimote offers a far more intuitive, enjoyable, and above all fun experience than a standard gamepad, or indeed keyboard + mouse.
While you may be happy to sacrifice sheer fun for pretty graphics, you need to come to terms with the fact that there are a large number of gamers who are not.

COD4 looks and Plays well.
