A man in San Diego, North America engaged in a real-life GTA IV police chase yesterday, after nicking three copies of the game from the local game shop.
Dennis Richard Fiel, 27, entered his local GameStop store in Mira Mesa at about 10:30 a.m. and sprayed employees with Mace, before running off with three copies of GTA IV.
Fiel immediately gained three stars, and the Police were in hot pursuit both on the ground and from a helicopter, chasing the white Toyota pickup truck he used to flee the crime scene.
He was eventually captured at a Japanese BBQ restaurant, where he surrendered to police. Busted.
Stealing GTA IV isn't considered a grand theft, but this bloke probably isn't happy with his felony robbery charges, we imagine.
Tis a good job Jack Thompson is not allowed to file a lawsuit against GTA by law after the whole Bully:Scholarship edition escapade otherwise he would have been all over this like a bad rash!
Police are currently checking through the bank statements at Rockstar HQ as a large lump sum was deposited in the robbers bank account the day the robbery took place. Rockstar were unavailable to comment.
Yer but did he get away in a helicopter like i did last night!?..HAH!...... ermmm... was i dreaming gaming or did that really happen?... need to get some sleep....GTA & real life are begin to merge!....Jack Thompson was right!!! ahhhh.....
