Sony's PlayStation Day event has come and gone, but there was still no mention of when Euro PS3 gamers will be getting the rumbling DualShock 3.
Japan has been rumbling since last year, and the US got its shaking pads on April 15, but Europe is still in the dark.
It appeared to be game on when SCE Australia confirmed an April 24 release for upside-down land, which is a PAL region like UK, and is usually grouped with SCE Europe in release schedules.
Sony, however, told CVG that the announcement was specific to Australia and did not include UK or Europe.
"Australia is in the unique situation that they have completely sold out of SixAxis controllers and as a result we have had to decide on the best way to ensure consumers in Australia can buy controllers for PS3."
We pestered Sony for an update and were simply told: "We have not yet announced a release date for DualShock3 in the UK."
Fingers crossed a date is made official before the launch of Metal Gear Solid 4 in June.

So basically, Europe hasn't sold out of SixAxis controllers yet, so Europe won't get the DualShock 3 until it does.
the only pad id pay money for is a duelshock 3,so because of people like me who point blank refuse to shell out good money on a pad i dont want, have got to wait till all those crap pads have been sold before we can get one. Can i just import one off ebay or something? will it work on a uk console? This contempt by sony for us uk gamers is what made me get rid of my ps2. brought my ps2 at launch and expected to be playing games online within the year. But as sony find it soo much fun dangling carrots infront of you before finally snatching them away at the last minute i decided to sack them and get an xbox. Now ive just decided to give them a second chance with ps3 and nothings changed. Still happy to empty your pockets whilst making you beg for the privalige maybe well see play tv before xmas but i wouldnt hold your breath, unless they really mean sep 2010. RANT OVER LOL

I dont own a ps3, nor do I hate them but this strategy stinks. If it is a case of them waiting for inferior products to sell out.

I can only laugh at you ds3 isn't a big deal in game vibration hasn't been used for anything constructive since mgs1 with that arm massage thing (thats probably where most of you got the sensual feelings for vibrating pads) but since its not really been a benefit. So myself as many other people won't miss it. I guess that ladys will still miss it.
i got a silver ds3 last week from forbidden planet for 45 quid! well worth it and most games work with it aswell. good ol imports eh?
Sorry but no controller is worth Ł45, what a f**king scam. Id buy another six axis if they didnt cost Ł35, its a rip off when we all know they will soon be obsolete.

Well as Sony was at the time going through a lawsuit with Immersion, the creators of the DualShock technology, technically that is true.
However you are right in saying that they did have the chance to put it in, but refused to pay the royalties to immersion and decided to take them to court instead.
That's total bulls**t, who would want to pay Ł35 for a controller that'll be useless in a couple of months, take your controller and shove it sideways up your butt Sony!
Kinda good example whats wrong with SONY genrally, great company with clearly unsure which demographic to follow. Obviously DS3 needed a world release (GT Prologue bundle would of been ideal)Home is another example of very poor management over a great idea! Im from the UK, and have had my white DS3 for almost two months now. got it from movietyme for Ł31.99 delivered, probally cheper than the UK retail price is gonna be.

Bought a ds3 from cd wow and i must say that the six axais controllers are just complete crap when you compare them to the ds 3. I wouldnt hold my breath waiting for a release date just buy one of the net guys if you can.
Just do what everyone else is doing and import one, i got mine from VG+ on Tuesday for Ł33 inc del, beats waiting until god know when for Sony europe to get off it's ass and release them here, aslo would most likely be cheaper as with everything.
