When you got your special edition copy of Grand Theft Auto IV, did you ever think 'Hey, that would make an awesome case for a PC?' No? Well, Mark Harris did. So there.
During a quiet spot at work, Harris took a miniITX system and saw the potential in its size. "Normally I don't see the point in buying limited / special editions of computer games," he told us, "as they come with items that you will find yourself throwing away after a while.
"Not pre-ordering my GTA IV early enough meant I had to order the special edition. I'm glad that I did."
As you can see from the screenshots, Mark took the GTA safety deposit box and converted it into a fully functioning computer.
This isn't the miniITX system has packed into a novelty box. In April, Alex Wiley packed it into a case modelled on the Digg logo. To see it, and more of the GTA safety deposit box, check out the Mini-ITX website. Some things have to be seen to be believed.

What an idiot. What kind of dickhead would throw away his limited edition artbooks, extra discs, memorabelia etc?!!?? And then to top it all off he's quite happy to ruin his games case as well. If he really wanted to make a small P.C why not make one out of something ordinary that isn't worth much, not a limited edition case.
It may seem like a waste of time, but his work is currently being featured on a whole range of gaming and PC component websites. I bet there's some company checking him out now to work on other limited edition cases.
Personally I think it's a cool idea. After all, what else would he use the safety deposit box for?

Jesus Christ. Why get so personally offended? It's his stuff, he can do whatever the hell he wants with it. And to answer your last question; he might want a cool looking PC, not a standard looking one. If I had to choose between how people treat their limited edition stuff, I'd say I'd rather someone be cutting it up to do interesting stuff with it than leave it on a shelf never to be looked at. I presume that's what you do.
Turned a box into a computer! Makes a change from Microsoft turning a computer into a box!
Lol that had me on the floor! I dont know why everyone is calling him a snooker cue, its a pretty creative idea, and just cos its limited edition doesn't mean its actually worth anything.

Personally offended? I don't give a monkeys mate. All I know is I wouldn't take something rare and then ruin it. He's basically wasted a perfectly good special case that someone else would really like to collect, and the attitude that he would throw away his collectables kind of defeats the object of buying Limited Edition stuff to begin with. If he wants to do that to his stuff fine. I'm just voicing an opinion which is what forums like this are about.
Oh, and no, I actually do look at my Limited Edition stuff thanks, and am proud to have some videogame memorabelia to collect.
A GTA4 PC is much more unique and likely to be worth more in the future as a collectors item than just the contents of the special edition which 1000s of people own.
ONTOPIC: Each to their own eh? Don't get the hostility, it's not like he used anybody here's limited edition box is it? I don't mind it, not something I would ever have the time, patience or interest to do like but at the end of the day it's his time.
OFFTOPIC: SonicUK, I gotta commend you on your signature, not many people have the balls to put ' I'm a dickhead on every post do they'. Who cares what spec of xbox/ps3 you have or what you used to own.

Well jdkoke I gotta commend you on your attitude. The only dickhead I see around here is you. Do you really think I give a rats bottom what you think of my sig? Incase you havn't noticed this is a forum on a videogame website, a hobby which we all have in common, so if I wish to state which machines I own or have owned for those interested thats my business, and has bugger all to do with you, so grow up.
