Stunning Pure screens - 231MB worth

They were HUGE, but we clamped them down to a more digestible size
Here are 23 Pure screenshots that weighed in at 231.7MB where we got them from? Excessive? Yes, but the game does look bloody nice.

The environments look so good it's the sort of game that should be seen in screens that are nine-bez-illion pixels wide, but we shrunk them down to a sensible size so as not to snap the internet, and so you can actually see them today.

It's not just a pretty face - it plays pretty well too. You can read a preview and see more exclusive screens here.

Wow! It really does look incredible! If the gameplay matches the looks then count me in!

Shocked

Good god.

I think that just about covers it.

The graphics are certainly nice, but nothing all that special; they're basically Oblivion with higher resolution textures and some blurring effects (and dirt bikes, obviously).

Now that is what Motorstorm 2 should look like.
DAEDALUS79 on 27 May '08
Oh, a stripped-down version of Motorstorm 2. Zzzzzzzzzzz....
Wozzakl on 27 May '08
looks like a motorstorm wannabe

The graphics look fantastic, but if it's just quads then is it going to be interesting enough to last?

I was listening to a podcast on i think Gamespot UK and they played through a demo level of Motorstrom 2 and "they" said it looks nothing like the trailer for the new game, if anything they said it didnt look that much better than number 1.

Motorstorm 2. A rushed job?

Anyhoo, from the gameplay videos ive seen of Pure, it does look good and will rock.

Why are the Sony fanboys p**sed? This game is being released on both the 360 and the PS3 (and the PC for that matter).

*Of course* MS2 doesn't look that much better than the original - both games are for the same console! It's not like with the PC, with its continuously upgrading specs - a console's specs are cdn.static. The only way the second game could look significantly better than the original is if the developers hadn't made the original game look as could as they could have done - either deliberately or through a lack of talent & competence.

I mean, did Halo 2 really look all that much better than Halo 1? No.

Did GTA 3, San Andreas, and Liberty City really differ that much in terms of graphical features? Again, no.
