Race Driver: GRID trailer shows off new mode

Flashback feature brings the sands of time to racing
Codemasters has released a new video for Race Driver: GRID that shows off a mode reminiscent of the rewind mode in Prince of Persia: Sands of Time.

The feature, dubbed 'Flashback,' allows players to inspect the detail of any crash using a rotating camera and go through the carnage frame-by-frame.

At any point during the replay, players can start racing again and attempt to avoid the crash that brought their racing career to an abrupt end.

Players can use the function up to five times during any race, but purists can turn it off when in Pro Mode.

Race Driver: GRID is released this Friday for PC, 360 and PS3, with a DS version to follow.
