Crysis follow-up reveal "in the very near future"?

No more updates for Crysis, developer confirms, and we'll find out why in the "very, very near future"
Crytek has confirmed that there will "almost certainly" not be any more updates for its show-off FPS Crysis, teasing that we'll find out why "in the very, very near future".

The news comes from the developer's latest (and first, by the looks of it) Crysis monthly update, in which it urges community members to "not miss the next Crysis Monthly Update coming to you in June!" Oo-eer.

As you'd imagine the not-so-vague 'wink, wink, nudge, nudge' from the German studio has sent the sequel/expansion rumours into defcon 5.

We've left a message with EA, who we're reliably told are scrambling to get us the official word right now, and will let you know what it is shortly.

I hope for a sequel but i think a full blown sequel will be a long way off yet. However an expansion will be welcome, to at least give us a proper ending. Crysis' ending was poor. If we have to wait years for a sequel they shouldn't end the game in that way.

To say the ending was open ended would be an understatement.

The surprise will be if any follow up comes out on PC after comments made by Crytek and the sales of the original!
I'm guessing it will be multiplatform.

Maybe this is one of the "big MS Game Announcements"?

If it is, it was predicted here first.

I'm really hoping Crytek learn from their mistakes:
-More engaging story please?
-Less stereotyping of characters?
-For god's sake, stop the goddam alien levels. The best part of crysis, and it's widespread opinion, were the parts against the Koreans, where you attack various checkpoints. MORE OF THAT!

but you have to have pc that is powerful enough and you need to play at delta difficulty, then! u get entertainment!

yes the story were rather bad, but it got some cool people like the Korean general. And the battles... wow! to fell the adrenaline like that is truly equal to some golden moments playing spy on Team Fortress 2.

but everyone got different tastes and some didn't like Bioshock and some loved it (i truly loved it)
