Street Fighter IV: Console-exclusive content detailed

Update: See new video of Guile vs Abel inside
Street Fighter IV producer Yoshinori has revealed that animated cutscenes will accompany every playable character.

Whilst Street Fighter II featured still frames at the end of the game, Yoshinori confirmed to Kotaku that this was only due to budget constrictions.

In comparison, the latest game will be packed with cinematic endings to be produced by a famous anime studio. Yoshinori declined to say who.

These cutscenes will also only be included within the console version of the game. Arcade players won't get to see them, nor will they get to play the car and barrel destruction bonus levels that will be in the home edition.

Putting the final nail in the coffin for the arcade cabinet (we're definitely not buying one now) for us is that Capcom has also confirmed it plans to ship an "arcade perfect" controller in time for the PC and console ports. Wicked.

It will possibly be bundled with the game too, so really the very idea of going to the Trocadero and pumping pound after pound into a cabinet doesn't just seem wasteful. It's now nonsensical.

This controller better get a release in Europe, or I can't see myself picking the game up.

I was very rough with the joysticks in the arcade. I don't see how the joystick they release is gonna be arcade perfect without it being nailed down to something to keep it steady.

Be great if they could just copy the old Dreamcast arcade stick - mine's still as tough as old boots.

I agree with the earlier post too - we need to have a decent controller/stick for this game, maybe even something like the old 'Fighting Commando' pads I had on the PS1 - they were great for SF Alpha. You have to wonder if we'll actually get the stick - we didn't get the Ace Combat one.

Got the same stick here - it's perfect for 2D fighting games. Street Fighter III plays like a dream.

I love me some decent animated ending scenes in fighting games. So I'll look forward to what Capcom come up with.

Well providng my PC can handle it, the PC version is going into a MAME cab. I can't wait.

I'll be getting the 360 version as well so if that stick is as good as they reckon I might grab one of those too.

This is probably my most anticipated game now, I can't wait.

Is there any particular reason why the other three quarters of this video aren't included? The full sequence shows new characters, Rufus and El Fuerte, as well as Vega, Balrog, Sagat and M.Bison in action.

Or is CVG planning on drip-feeding us this over the next few weeks when its a slow news day?

Sort it out!

Well let's see - who IS there?
Madhouse?
Deen?
Bones?
Gonzo?
Production IG (this would be AWESOME!!)?

I don't think this exclusive-console-content model works. It alienates users on the non-supported consoles, which is always going to have a negative effect.

That isn't arcade perfect controller. It doesn't use arcade grade parts, just some Hori inhouse components, you don't find any real arcade cabinets using those.

Arcade perfect controller is for example this:
http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-e-49-en-70-2nut.html

It has Sanwa joystick and buttons that are widely used all over arcade cabinets in Japan.

If your joystick doesn't have Sanwa or Seimitsu(Japanese arcades) or Happ(US arcades) parts then it's not anywhere near arcade perfect. That's why people mod sticks like yours with parts you can buy from here: http://www.lizardlick.com/pages/arcade_parts.shtml

This stick for X360: http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-dd-49-en-70-2sxk.html
and this for PS3: http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-zl-49-en-70-1rrr.html
are also quite good as they have Sanwa joysticks so you only have to replace the pushbuttons.
