Die Hard actor Bruce Willis is negotiating to star in Liongate's Kane and Lynch: Dead Men movie.
Willis will play Adam "Kane" Marcus, a bald headed mercenary who partners up with pony tailed schizophrenic killer James Lynch.
According to Variety, the flick will be the directorial debut of Simon Crane, who served as second unit director and stunt coordinator on Mr & Mrs. Smith, Troy and X-Men: The Last Stand. It's probably going to be rubbish then.
It's being penned by some guy called Kyle Ward, who has to date only written a movie about an amateur boxer who enters a local contest so he can buy an engagement ring for his girlfriend.
Shooting is set to start later on this year, for a release some time in 2009. Billy Bob Thornton as Lynch?
Oh dear, this truely is going to be awful. Bad game + stunt co-ordinator director + writer who has done 1 film which doesnt even have a rating on IMDB = flaming dog turd.
Maybe Bruce will see sense and pull out. The last thing he needs is another stinker under his belt.
I would have thought Willis would look way better as Lynch, actually. The glasses and mullet/ponytail thing Lynch has going on would suit him to a tee.
In any case, Kane & Lynch will probably make a better film than it was a game...
Kane and Lynch could be a great film just as it could have been a great game. The story and characters were far more interesting that gta4 but the gameplay was a bit poo in comparison. I know other people didnt seem to enjoy it but I think its an underated game but not without its flaws.

agree 100 percent.
at least they are not taking a game we like and making a bad movie.
what about Mark whats his face as Max Payne. thats a big stupid. there was a independant film being made of Max Payne, Payne and Redemption, which was being made before Fox got the rights to make the film, and fox went and crushed the Fan independant.
Uwe Boll must direct the movie! He's so talented that 200 spectators left the Postal premier-free-show just because they couldn't bare the feeling that Postal the movie was too good for them
What I don't get is that why are they trying to make such games as Kane & Lynch into movies which had so-so plot and action and that they don't make Half Life the Movie. It ticks me off that they're delaying the idea of a Half Life film and are going ahead with a film based on a mediocre game (kane and lynch). But on the other hand maybe it's better that they don't make a half life movie considering that there has never been a good game - to movie conversion.

Chronicles of Riddick : Escape From Butcher Bay...
