There's no slowing down in the DLC department for Guitar Hero III players, as Activision gears up to unleash five new song packs this month.
Activision has only detailed two of those packs, one of which is out today. It comes in celebration of Motorhead's new album, and contains three songs: We Are the Road Crew, Stay Clean and their first single, the self-titled Motörhead.
Kasabian's 'Shoot the Runner', joins tunes from The Sex Pistols (Problems - a live rendition) and Kaiser Chiefs (I Predict a Riot) in the Isle of Wight pack out June 12 on both PSN and Xbox Live Marketplace.
I want them to release more challenging songs for download, along the lines of Dragonforce. All the ones i fave downloaded so far are enjoyable to play but aren't exactly difficult.

Agreed. The Muse pack was welcome, but the difficulty was, frankly, a joke. I suck, so why the hell was I able to clear them on Expert? And DragonForce pack = WIN.
I don't mean to brag but I have gold starred 4 of the DLC songs and I haven't even bought that many of them. The DLC is just ridiculously easy. This is all activision trying to appeal to the mainstream market by releasing songs that people have heard of before as DLC rather than songs that would be really awesome to play, a good example of this was the Foo Fighters pack which in my opinion (I'm not saying I dislike the tracks) was just 3 well known songs. As an actual Foo Fighters fan I could easily think of 3 tracks I'd much rather be playing on GH...

I think there's an odd situation with the DLC. In the actual game, we get tracks that really suit it - not necessarily the obvious hit single - with the DLC, we get the hits.
You have to wonder if the DLC will start being used as a way to advertise a new single - the bands and labels are obviously picking up on the fact that GH and RB are huge games and a great place to market their stuff, so maybe that's the way it'll go for DLC. We've already seen it with Def Leppard and Motley Crue on RB and I expect Activision to follow suit and try to secure more content for GH.
I'm not saying this is a bad thing, we may start getting offered free stuff - but, I'd like to see some of these packs being for the 'fan'....it's the same as Greatest Hits albums, you're preaching to the converted.
