Ex-employees of Rockstar North and EA Canada Burnby have confirmed a project called Wii Move, a game that puts an unexpected slant on the Wii Balance Board.
"Wii Move is the first Project from PheroseSoft, a small 7 man team, made up from past members of EA Canada Burnaby and Rockstar North", a representative told website Balance Board Blog.
"The game looks to put an unexpected slant on the Wii Balance Board. Look for Wii Move to hit the download service in quarter four 08."
A promotional video has also appeared on YouTube, which depicts a bunch of people running on the spot in time to a ticking clock and a heartbeat.
It doesn't really help explain what the game will be about, or even what it will look like. If you're really interested though, go take a look.
I thought Nintendo didnt let anyone else use the "Wii" name in their software. It is nice to see if they relax a little on Wii Ware.
It is good news that Wii balance board games are going to be available on Wii Ware. Makes biting the cost for it more acceptable.
I'd like to see rpg games which are more physical in nature - using the wii balance board to walk - and even run away from trouble - and the controllers to do things like fishing, mining, crafting and fighting. How immersive would all that be... just please no more cutesy graphics for the avatars - unless there is a way for them to die horribly !
