It seems that the days of computer created penis monsters and self-buggering entities are numbered, as EA has started threatening to ban people for creating porn using the Spore Creature Creator.
While EA has confirmed that more than 250,000 creatures have been created since the service launched, some of them apparently violate the terms and conditions of the service. Really?
One such monster was PC Gamer's Kristen Salvatore's creation, Boobalicious (see right). Made as a retort to PC Gamer UK's own creation, Kristen received an email from EA that read:
"Your Electronic Arts account has been flagged for violating the Electronic Arts Inc Terms of Service. We believe that the violation or behaviour is serious enough to bring to your attention as it may impact your future access to the service."
When we contacted EA regarding the email, a representative said: "Whether it's modeling clay, dolls or crayons, a small number of people can be counted on to use it for something inappropriate.
"SPORE is a great creative tool with parental controls that allows users to flag objectionable content and keep it out of their game."
Stands to reason really. It's supposed to be a game suitable for all. You can't stick a 7+ certificate on something that has c**ks and boobs flapping about all over the place

They must have seen this coming lol unless they are the kind of people who would fall in a bucket of t**s and still come out sucking there thumb!!
What's the matter with em, no one at EA got a sense of humour? All they need to do is segregate them into an 'Over 18s' section and encourage it. Some of the vids of creatures I've seen were utterly hilarious, and it's a shame to stifle such creativity in my opinion.
Ea in a nut shell really isn't it... if you don't want me to do it don't give me a sandbox game. You can't really stop me playign a sandbox game as i want to, as was said, either have an over 18's section, or dont' allow uploads.
It's still pending a rating from the ESRB. So until they get that, they can't put a rating on it.
Because it's online I'm expecting a Teen rating though, which means no nudity. And it's cartoony, so it might even end up lower than that.
They should've made 2 versions of the game - 1 the style it is currently and another in the complex style it was originally planned to be. I bet it was EA and their mass-market ideas that forced Will Wright to simplify it. Swines.
Isn't this like Adobe telling people they're not allowed to draw c**ks in photoshop?
This is ridiculous. They will *never* be able to stop people doing it - the answer is to allow it to go on in its own "adults only" area, and let people have their fun.
Or better yet the idea of having "inapropriate" stuff in the game seems to be a popular idea, then why don't they create a whole new game where you can have this "inappropriate" material. I tell you, it would be a hell of a lot more entertaining than any Sim games I've ever played. Chuck a 18+ rating on it, and it would be a killer I think.
It might be a game that would encourage the perves, but the intent should be to aim it at an audience with a sense of humour.
The right wing corporate machine doesn't take kindly to people pulling on their c**ks it seems. Still I guess youtube will become home to those creating but not posting there creations online. Lets see what EA do then.
i say let the human body part in spore run wild and free it just good humor and oyu know what? screw the kid this is a adult games base on a RTS so kid will surely give up the games at the rts part since it going to be the long and hard to so it so here my sporn video lol http://youtube.com/watch?v=16Idw-80Hsk c**kasasur rex http://youtube.com/watch?v=bENwQaD1T_s TITZILA http://youtube.com/watch?v=0CS4qaQJgM8 PEDOSAUR lol enjoy =D
I personally am thanking ea for this. While the inappropriate content was fun to look at i would not like it while i am playing my game. Not just because it would look bad and unrealistic for a semi-realistic environment, but i would also prefer if when i was attacked by an "epic" it would be the 100ft fanged bunny rather than being destroyed by a 150ft giant c**k.
