EA: 'PS3 was not a consideration' for C&C 3

Producer wants to master one platform at a time
Command and Conquer PlayStation fans (must be some out there) will be disappointed to know that there was never any possibility of the latest game in the franchise ending up on PS3.

Speaking to CVG, C&C producer Jim Vessella said that the "PS3 was not in consideration".

"We weren't planning on PS3 for Tiberium Wars or Kane's Wrath," he told us. "We really wanted to focus on Xbox 360 and master that platform before diving into another one."

The victory cries of Xbox 360 fanboys will be short-lived however, as he added that EA has every intention of supporting the PS3 from now on.

"We're definitely considering the PS3 for future versions of our games and future versions of Command and Conquer," he added. "Although we don't have specifics just yet on when that's going to happen.

"But the PS3 is definitely successful and we really want to give that platform love in the future."

Except that they obviosly can't master even one platform, hence the story the other day about them dropping the Global Conquest mode from the 360!

So thats the only reason you're supporting it then, because its now succesful? You're a bunch of snooker cues EA

As long as they support a keyboard and mouse

If you're going to use keyboard and mouse you may as well buy the PC version.

Don't get me wrong, I agree that EA are snooker cues lol - but thats business. The reason PS3 has nowhere near the amount of 'love' that the 360 has from Devlopers is because Publishers don't want to waste their time and money when they're not so sure they'll get the sales they want on PS3.

That was a decision based on the target audience, rather than the capabilities of the system.

fair point but I doubt C&C will do much on any format. The game is now dull and boring. EA should take C&C out and shoot it.

I'm sure many are but I'm not fussed about this or future c&c games coming out for ps3.
The only RTS games that are any good right now are the Total War series and Advance Wars, now if Total War was in the headline above I would be gutted.

Shove your C&C's up your bottom.

Good show that they're "focusing on one console" but EA have a way of coming late to the party... point in case, the Wii. EA didnt even give it a glance but as soon as it became a success, shovel ware galore.

EA are a bunch of snooker cues and C&C has been s**te ever since they took over, it's no great loss that it was never on PS3!
mintydog on 21 Jun '08
As far as Im concerned, they can make all their games, 360 Exclusives, as I wont be buying them anyway.

maybe they should "Master" producing games that people want to play and enjoy, instead of churning constant s**te out all the time!!

The only games they have that are any good are companies that they buy out anyway!!
