Animal Crossing Wii for E3?

Mag's 'Next Month' page drops massive hints...
Official Nintendo Magazine will reveal the first details of Animal Crossing Wii in its next issue, if a sneak peek in its current one is anything to go by.

Nintendo of Japan confirmed the existence of the title back in January in a financial meeting. They dated it for 2009, but since then we've heard nothing.

Until now, that is. The 'Next Month' page in ONM's latest issue features a picture of Animal Crossing characters standing on a grassy planetoid, with a caption that reads "It's been a while! It's time to revisit an old friend. How's your village doing these days?"

We've used torture, blackmail, bribery and politeness (in that order) to coax more information out of the ONM team, but it's saying nothing.

Issue is out on August 1. Expect the internet to go mental about then, unless of course we hear something at E3...

Please, not another one... The last one took over my life for over a year and I can't be doing it again! (But God knows I will...)

Very Happy
Brilliant! I can't wait to abuse those furry little creatures by making them say rude things and by drawing genitals on their t-shirts and 'Blanca's face.

I still play AC:WW occasionally for those reasons alone.

The Animal Crossing games I always play none stop, even though i know i'm playing crap..and then one day i'll stop for good and not come back on. It will be pretty much the same for this one, and a huge reason i actually got a Wii. Great Very Happy Looking forward to it.

Crying or Very sad I really don't like Animal Crossing - I tried and tried to get into Wild World but just couldn't. I hope Nintendo have another 2008 game in addition to this or I might actually cry!

Before you go slating agame I recommend you play Wild world.
Pikmin was crap on Gamecube so It won't be a massive seller on Wii.
Animal Crossing Wii HAS to be the Big Xmas 08 release as Nintendo have been working on it ages.
PLUS it will really put Wifi to great use been able to visit other peoples villages whilst there consoles turned off.

Animal Crossing seems likely, it's one of the biggest casule/hardcore sellers, it just makes sense. That an it's awesome and life-consuming!

But Pikmin 3 would be so much better (for the hardcore at least), I f**king love Pikmin, and I reckon if they market it in the right way, it could be a massive casual seller too.

Or even better they could do both. I think I'd die and go to Ninty fanboy heaven...

I still prefer Harvest Moon though to Animal Crossing. You have more to do.

Wild World is technically better but the GameCube version is far superior for one reason alone: playable NES games! Very Happy
