Next for the balance board - Wii Yoga

But Wii doubt Nintendo will let it keep that name for long...
Don't say you didn't see it coming; after the runaway success of Nintendo's girlfriend-favourite Wii Fit the clones are on the way... and the first to arrive is JoWood's 'Wii Yoga'.

The publisher says young at heart gamers will be able to experience the "favoured doctrine for mind, body and soul" with Wii Yoga, and promises a truly "unique" gaming experience unlike anything else. Apart from Wii Fit.

Other than that all we know is that it'll support the Wii Balance Board and is planned for release in Q2 next year. Basically, JoWood was getting in there first before anyone nicked the Yoga idea, then.

Unfortunately due to Nintendo's T&C's for naming games on its console, we doubt JoWood will get away with putting the word 'Wii' in its title. So look out for JoWood Yoga/We Yoga or whatever they decide to call it next year.

Who didnt see this coming?

Huge potential to use th balance board & remote together for games yet devs just s**t out more shovelware.

I partly blame Nintendo as most devs need showing what can be done in a game with this new hardware & Nintendo didnt on this occasion. They just made some fitness software. Would it have been too much to have a proper game developed for it at the same time?

Keep checking www.hotukdeals.com - they tend to show up there a fair bit.

This was about as unexpected as the sun coming up - I bet it's an Ubisoft game....

Shocked You're joking! s**t! Mad I could have easily done that but I didnt think it was that popular.

On the release weekend there were stacks of stock in every shop. I thought they'd hugely overestimated how popular it would be. Damn! If i'd only knew then....

HA! I was right, heres a quote from what i just said in the forum about no more brain training for Nintendo

"Besides, everyone who's anyone knows that brain training is, like, so last week. Its physical fitness now thats got the sub-casual gamers eye.

Prepare oneself for a tidal wave of Wii Fit clones"

Give me a copy of Halo 3 and a broadband connection anyday. Tonnes better than wiggling round on a flimsy plastic board

My girlfriend does Yoga, using 3 DVDs from Sara Ivanhoe. About £7 each they were, plus the original Yoga for Dummies. So about £40 for the lot, including her mat.

Wii Fit? I don't think so.

Great ¬_¬ I urge all parents whose kids ask for this game...to get them a mat and a Yoga DVD.
Then film their disappointment and put it on Youtube.

I lucked out the other day and managed to pick one up. My woman is most happy.
I was spending time on this site and turning on the automatic stock updater. You could give that a try.
