First Rock Band 2 screens leaked

Images of EA and Harmonix' sequel spill across the web
The first images of EA and Harmonix' Rock Band 2 have leaked onto the internet, so just in case you thought they were axing scrolling indicators and colourful band characters, here's the proof you're wrong.

A song list said to be from the second game recently leaked onto the net as well. EA's not having a good time of it at the moment, is it?

Other than that supposed track list, we don't know much about the follow-up at the moment. Though you can see in these images (more here) the new Rock Band guitar, which is said to be "quieter and more reliable".

According to an EA spokesperson we talked to, the sequel's due for a simultaneous release in both the US and Europe this September. But it might not be. But it might. No one seems to know yet.

That lead singer with a moustache looks like Dave Wyndorf from Monster Magnet

Wow! That looks... just like Rock Band and Guitar Hero.

Screenshots seem fairly unnecessary for these games; just close your eyes and recall any shots you may have seen from any previous iterations.

I do like the guitar though. It actually looks quite a lot like a guitar. I wonder if the new drum kit will still make you look like you're in Ultravox?

True, I'd personally like to see a face-mapping option to create your own band members, then you could see yourself and your mates on the TV playing the instruments too and see others online.

EA could use the 'Game Face' technology found in their upcoming game 'FaceBreaker'! (Which also has a cartoony style to it) Please put this option in, it'll be a laugh and only add to the whole experience!

I really like that stratocaster. It's reminds me of clapton Wink . I don't understand why Guitar Hero favours gibsons. I never really liked gibsons; I find it hard to take full use of the fingerboard.

It's all about the money. Can you imagine how much it must cost to buy the rights for those things?

So I guess they're just goin to skip rock band on PS3 then? good thing I got too impatient and bought it on 360! Great game, looking forward to the next one if that
track list is accurate!
