Adult "actress" Tera Patrick has joined the Saints Row 2 development team at Volition as a "special producer". We're not joking - look at the picture on the right.
Patrick, who's starred in more than a hundred adult movies (so says THQ - we'd know nothing about it, cough) will "bring her one-of-a-kind special touch to the project as the game nears release on October 14th," says the publisher. We're holding off on the dodgy jokes here.
"Tera will also be making a special appearance at THQ's Comic Con booth this Saturday, where she'll meet with fans and sign exclusive Saints Row 2 art," says the publisher.
"Further details on Tera's involvement with Saints Row 2 will be released leading up to the game's October 14th launch on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3." We're interested to see exactly what it means by her "special touch." Is she going to program the network code then?
"To see trailers of Tera Patrick's movies, visit www.teratrailers.com." Those are THQ's words - not ours. Regardless we've 'researched' the website and Mike J reckons you should checkout 'Anal Chaos', or 'Asian Street Hookers 7'.

GTA IV was a huge disappointment, in that it simply stopped being fun after a few hours of play. I've spent countless hours just roaming around in San Andreas, Vice City, and so on, after completing those games. My GTA IV disc, bought on the premiere night, is now just sitting in its case, the game not even half way done. It's beautifully made, well produced, fantastic in many ways. It's just .. boring.
Can't wait for SR2 - SR1 was fun, but not spectacular - but I'm confident that SR2 will receive more of my gaming hours than GTA IV did.
Well, that's one way to sell your product, an average one at that I imagine, is to include a pornstar in the mix somehow.

Ignore all this PR thats making it look idiotic and childish - Saints Row 2 is going to be a lot more fun and way longer-lasting (read: more replayability) compared to GTA IV.
GTA IV has descended into the 'shouldn't have tried so hard to be "gritty" ' ranks. They forgot about the actual gameplay..

Im kind of with you there Bob Dont get me wrong, I loved GTA and think its taken a wee bit too much criticism recently, I still think it is a great game but I do think I will get more fun out of SR. I like playing games, so in theory I could have 20 sandboxers and still enjoy them all.

Oh definitely - GTA IV was good, it was just nowhere near as good as the others, or as good as it 'should' have been.
It got too much hype for its own good, even a lot of the rabid fans that slaughtered Saints Row are now saying it'll probably be more fun than GTA IV.

is this really as exciting as everyone is making out?? I suggest buying a game for how good it is and not to see poor quality soft porn. Games are not made for rubbing a crafty one out over, surely thats solely what the internet is there for!

Nobody is saying this is exciting - or even a reason to buy the game - but it's funny how many people are replying to it assuming that...
If there's a lot to do then yes, I will buy it of course. I'll have to see what GTA4 is like first, then there's Fallout 3 ,Space Siege and Spore ,it might be a while 'till I do though. But it won't make it any more likely though.

Sorry Bob but thats not double standards at all, Vice city and San Andreas didn't use a porn star to 'help develope' the game (we all know shes just hired to attract more attention and get some publicity for the game) sex features in the GTA games but they don't milk it like SR2 has, this is blatant form of using porn to sell a video game, its borderlining shameful.
Didn't Wing Commander 3 do this years before with Ginger-Lynn Allen? Never played that game, but I enjoyed the out-takes that were on a PC-Format cover CD back in about 1995 - think I still may have it somewhere in the loft. Tom Wilson (Biff from Back To The Future) was really funny taking the p**s out of Mark Hammill.
