LucasArts has confirmed that a playable demo for its upcoming Star Wars game will be unleashed on August 21 for both PS3 and 360.
We've been told that the demo gives players "a taste of one of the early levels in the game: the TIE Fighter Construction Facility, under siege by a Jedi General named Rahm Kota.
"The Secret Apprentice has been sent by Darth Vader to hunt down and destroy the General, but is also told that, in order to remain a secret, he is to leave no witnesses."
Also included in the demo is a tutorial intended to teach players how to use their Force Grip power (snigger). So everything that was pretty much expected then.

Anyway, I got pretty excited when I read this on Gametrailers earlier, geeky I know but it really does look good and same as prev comments I just hope it lives up to the promise.
I'll be trying a demo first, Star Wars Episode 3 was one of the most revolting games I've ever played. It sucked so bad I've not bought a movie tie in since.
In two minds about this, as most SW games have been a bit "Poodoo", and this "kick your ass with the force" idea seems like a bit of a gimmick to me. But at least this has been designed as a sort of traing experiance, so you could have some fun figuring out/abusing those force powers.

Brave of LucasArts, as the demo could prove the game to be as repetitive as videos have suggested - lots of Stormtroopers clinging to a crate or something while Force-grabbed.
