Eidos has released a video exposé of how it turned a regular office receptionist (and model on the side) into "the greatest living embodiment of Lara Croft so far". Until the next one.
"There have been several memorable real-life incarnations of England's first lady of adventure over the last decade, but few have managed to capture what Lara embodies with quite so much gusto," says Eidos.

"Carroll not only bears an uncanny resemblance to Lara, but by checking out this video you'll also learn how she flawlessly embraces Lara's attitude, physicality and bravado. A naturally confident speaker, her transformation to become Lara Croft is breathlessly captured in this behind-the-scenes exposé."
There's no footage of that now-famous waxing process, just in case you were wondering.
I think you're missing the point. She is there for the same reason Jade Raymond wass wheeled out when Ubisoft wanted to showcase Assassins Creed, and the same reason that Tera Patrick is the supposed 'producer' of Saints Row... To give us games a semi-on, and encourage us to part with our hard earnt.
Honestly, I can't even remember what that vid was advertising
im sorry i was errrrrr yes, i was concentrating on her muscle definition...........and not her boobs
Same here, nice definition! Joking aside this women is perfect for this role (and actually pretty perfect), she'll be handy for a bit of mo cap for eidos you would think, yum

Damn, I thought she was lead programmer!
Tera Patrick 'producer' is hilarious though. Who would Nintendo get? Wilma Flintstone would probably be too much for them.
I'm sick of seeing that high kick she does. No one does a high kick with a jump like that in a real fight, unless they WANT to fall on their bottom. They should be teaching her kung fu, not taking hundreds of pictures of her in poses. What is this even for? Promotion? Or is she going to play the next Croft in a movie? Either way, the holsters are too loose to be an action hero. There's no point in getting a brilliant new Lara Croft, if they are just gonna teach her the same tricks and wear the same gear. Innovate!

She seemed to have no problem staying on her feet, anyway who the f**k cares about that or loose holsters shes not actually going to war is she, get a life, its called marketing and promotion.

Kicking a person isn't like kicking the air. There is resistance. If she kicked someone like that, they wouldn't just collapse under her momentum without any resistance. If she tried that on a person, she might kick them, but she would fall over.
The least they could do is turn this woman into a believable action hero. Someone worth admiring, than just some tart who can do a couple moves. She will become nought but a sex object, not a role model to young girls - which is what this girl THINKS she is doing. No point in promoting a sheep in wolf's clothing.
