So it would seem you get some gamerpics on the second disc - something I think all limited editions should have, though, ideally all of the pics and themes associated with the game.
Anyone else out there who was totally unimpressed with the first GOW and also has no intention of getting the sequel? Just curious. Please don't rant.
Nope and you're a f**king idiot for not liking it! Ha only joking, each to their own and all that but I'm looking forward to this one as I loved the original.
After all the hype from the 360 version, I got the PC version when it came out. The graphics and art direction were exceptional (even the Unreal engines shininess looked okay-ish), but I found the game itself a little repetitive and dare I say it... dull!

I was unsure, but thinking back, I really did like the original, it was a breath of fresh air. I hate Halo, but I quite like Gears. I'd like to see some more story this time though, and it wouldn't kill Epic to make the PC's extra 5 chapters available on Xbox Live (they could do it if they wanted, they just can't be bottomd -- the PC and 360 are very similar to develop for, and they wouldn't be the first company ever to convert a game for another format -- or even do a bonus disc at a budget price, just containing the "new" material).
But high hopes for GOW2. Just don't mess it up, Epic.
Ill get a copy around december, either for my birthday or xmas, not going to pay full whack for it.
I wasn't a fan of Gears of War but I'm liking what I've seen of this so far. Like yourself though I might wait until it's discounted a bit before buying.
I do like Gears, but as with Halo it was hyped out of all proportion. It's a good game, but not the utterly amazing, brilliant, fantastic, etc game that a lot of people claim it is.
So you get a gold-Lancer or something on the bonus disc. Thats alright.
Do my eyes decieve me, or does it seem like you also get a couple of extra maps, vehicles, and something to do with Marcus and Dom that isn't specified...?

No you don't get anything to do with Marcus or Dom or new maps or new weapons. You misread or misunderstood. Thats just all crap about the developement of the new maps and weapons and some crap about character developement about Marcus and Dom I assume.
