Prince of Persia live action - pics

More pics have emerged from the Moroccan set of the Prince of Persia movie, revealing the impressive city streets and archways the big-screen Prince will be swinging around in 2010.

Filming has just kicked off with director Mike Newell at the helm, and beefcake Jake Gyllenhaal taking up the role of Prince Dastan. See the first pics of Gyllenhaal as the Prince here.

Elswhere on the cast Gemma Arterton plays Princess Tamina who joins forces with Dastan to retrieve the powerful Sands of Time from baddie Ben Kingsley. We're hoping for some Sexy Beast-calibre swearing in this one.

No disrespect but EVERYONE knows Prince of Persia won't have a fantastic storyline that'll have people booking tickets in advance. At best; another Lara croft type film!

Come on, the movie industry is running dry on creation and is ripping off games and super heroes.

Another "straight to DVD" film.

... I'm still disappointed by the Xmen movies. Even I coulda written a better script!
