The Force Unleashed is due to be released in just a few weeks time. Finished versions have left the warehouse and reviews are being written as you read these very words.
"Star Wars is and will always be a core part of our DNA at LucasArts," marketing director, Kevin Kurtz, told Reuters. "George Lucas created such a deep universe ripe with possibilities that it will continue to be a source for incredible stories and gameplay for years to come."
The Force Unleashed is said to bridge the gap between the two Star Wars trilogies (the good one and the bad one) and Lucas himself was involved in its 'four-year' development.
"George gave us a history lesson about what the major characters in the Saga were doing in that time frame, and offered feedback and suggestions about the plot and characters," said Haden Blackman, executive producer of the game at LucasArts.
If you haven't heard yet, Force Unleashed is based around a new character to the universe, which is Darth Vader's secret apprentice. The demo went down a storm and has claimed all sorts of crazy records, according to LucasArts. It even wiped the floor with Too Human.
Lucas is a lazy bastard. He has a team of artists draw up new characters and locations, then he goes around and stamps the pictures he likes and takes all the credit for it! saying 'Oh I came up with the original universe blah blah blah...'
BigBoss you really are a dumb f**k and obviously have no idea how films are made. Do you think George Lucas drew all the concept art for the original trilogy? Ha ha ha! George Lucas is a writer-Director which means he writes and directs, so he wrote the Star Wars scripts....which means he did come up with the original idea doesn't it....your post has to be the thickest most idiotic thing I have read this month.
Lucas was involved? Does this mean the game will be rife with wooden dialogue and overly laborious, frankly dull, scenes? Let's hope not eh?
I'm so tempted to get this. I'm a huge Star Wars fan, but something in the back of my mind just keeps screaming 'don't do it'. That screen shot of Starkiller (can't believe they called him that btw - that was Lukes original surname) on Bespin is awesome...

I probably will pick it up eventually. It's certainly not a game that I'd pre-order or pick up on release, but you can guarantee that there will be plenty of preowned copies on the shelves within a couple of weeks/months - I suspect it's one of those games that I'd have no problems spending £15-£20 on....much like Conan - great, as long as you know you didn't pay £40 for it!
well i love star wars but have never played a star wars game - i was looking forward to this one, had a quick go on the demo but nothing that blew me away so far. I just ordered KOTOR on xbox to play on my 360 via ebay so shall get my star wars fix from that and then hopefully give this one a try when its cheap on ebay too.
But with the new Bond game, COD waw and banjo all coming out soon this one will have to wait a little while..
