Fresh CoD 5 co-op details emerge

Latest CVG Presents mag does Call of Duty
The latest issue of CVG Presents is all about Call of Duty and our print brother has scooped a bunch of new details related to World at War's multiplayer.

One of the best parts of CoD 4's multiplayer is the perks system, and the sequel will feature new perks for you to earn. The Flak Jacket absorbs the damage taken from a single grenade, the Gas Mask perk makes you resistant to gas grenades, and the Shades perk negates the effects of flares. The game will also have new perks related to the vehicles newly added to the multiplayer mode.

The magazine also confirms that co-op gameplay will be given a competitive spin with a points-scoring system for kills, and 'Death Cards' in the co-op mode unlocks more modes and features in the game.

It will support 18 players, just like the previous game, and will pack new grenades including, Gas bombs, signal flares, bouncing betties and sticky grenades.

The 180-page CoD special is on sale now.

Urgh. Treyarch iz rubish. Infinity Ward RULEZ.

Or something like that. Personally, Im looking forward to this game although I had also been looking forward to BIA: HH and that appears to be a bit of a let down.

COD5 (this is what it is and what I will call it) is still using the COD4 engine so I have moderate hope for this one.

Glass half full.

...COD3 was a good game so i can't see why this won't be a hit...especially using the COD4 engine and gameplay elements like perks etc...

Shocked
Vehicles...
*shudder*
The one thing that was missing from CoD4...

I wonder how useful some of those perks are gonna be. The flak jacket sounds good, but Shades? Not so convinced.

You know I am sure those perks are more attuned with modern day and not WW2 unless I am mistaken of course...

Gonna grab the mag tonight! Very Happy

Pre-ordered the 360 version with Game.com the other day, they have an offer with it, you get to play in the beta a month before release. Very Happy

I like these pre order deals (Banjo's is the best so far, imo). I guess Ill have to go and pre order this game then to get onto the Beta, can you only do it online or can you do it in the store as well?
