Lead 4 Dead demo details

Two maps, out "shortly before release"
Details have emerged on Valve's pre-release demo for Left 4 Dead, which goes on full release on Steam on November 18.

According to Valve's Chet Faliszek (in a chat with De-Frag) the zombie shooter demo will "most likely be the first two maps of the hospital campaign", which start off on a series of streets and later leads into a subway station (where there's probably zombies).

According to Valve, the demo will be available "shortly before release", so everyone will have a chance to discover how frickin' awesome the zombie co-op shooter really is.

Left 4 Dead is heading to both Xbox 360 and PC, though Valve still denies plans for a PS3 release.

You can look for our interview with Valve man Doug Lombardi on the site shortly.

This is a definite try, and an almost certainly pre-order too.
My first love is zombies.
And boobs.

To be honest, I dont need a demo for this game, its a pick up on launch day without a doubt.

Damn this market meltdown, I cant see me hitting any bonuses for quite some time; robbing Grannies it is then. Wink

Can't wait for this. It's a PC purchase, methinks. Playing CoD4 on Live just made me yearn to be playing CS again.

Is that the Wii version in the screenshot? Looks a bit like a Resi 4 piccie.

There is no Wii version of L4D.

No one mentions the fact that the article refers to the game as:

Lead 4 Dead demo details

Another brilliant typo, courtesy of its 'strictly no proof reading' policy!

Methinks this is being confused with Dead Rising..

Looks set to be awesome. Damn, wish I could afford it- but I have to get my priorities straight: Fable 2, Gears 2 THEN this... and Fallout 3... Banjo Kazooie... aww, crap.
MrPirtniw on 30 Sep '08
