Wii Showreel games listed

All the games Nintendo showcased listed inside
Nintendo showed off a pretty good games showreel at its all-revealing conference in Japan this morning. Trouble is, there were so many games in it you may have had a job keeping up. Here's a helping hand.

Crazy internet people have sifted through the footage, listing every single title that cropped up, including the crazy long-winded Japanese one's that no-one's heard of.

It included the first ever peek at the new Punch Out and Another Code Wii games, among others.

The list is below (thanks to NeoGAF), and the Wii showreel can be seen right here.

Where is Fatal Frame 4? or are Nintendo still unaware of its existence?
philgreaaaaaaaat on 2 Oct '08
I want Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Cross Generation of Heroes!!!
unforgetable on 2 Oct '08
I want...um... none of them.

I'm pretty confident now that Fatal Frame 4 will never see a Euro release. At this rate it'll be lucky to get a release at all.

Rygar: Muscle Impact looks promising, like Devil May Cry meets God of War. Punch Out should be great with the Wii MotionPlus.

Where is Fatal Frame 4? or are Nintendo still unaware of its existence?

Which is why I imported it. The only decent game on the bloody Wii for ages, and they decide not to release it. Muppets! Yet another sign that Nintendo are moving further and further away from the type of games us as actual gamers, actually enjoy playing. Enough with all this quick thrill crap! Give me a game with a bit of depth god dammit it!!

I miss the old Nintendo *finds a corner and sulks*

wasn't street fighter a part of the showreel?

oh and FF: crystal bearers is now certainly dead, echo's of time looks like it's aimed at girls.

i think i'll just wait for FFXIII.

This is a Japanese conference, primarily aimed at a Japanese audience, and FF4 has already been released in Japan.

Which is why I imported it. The only decent game on the bloody Wii for ages, and they decide not to release it.

Eh? They haven't decided that at all. The reason it hasn't been released here (or indeed in America) yet is because they're still working on the translation.

I can't for the life of me figure out why you're not in charge of Nintendo right now. Surely with your vision and foresight, they'd be a much better off company.

Is the 'game everyone is waiting for' included in this?

Or will that get its own presentation?

Or will that get its own presentation?

Well there was two of the games everyone was waiting for; Punch Out being the first, Sin and Punishment being the second.

Depends on your definition of 'everyone'. You can scratch me off that list for starters.

Like I said a coupla days back - I want Pilotwings.
_Marty_ on 2 Oct '08
Damn.
Other than Sin and Punishment 2, there's nothing shown here that I want.

Pilotwings ?
Starfox ?
F-Zero ?
Pikmin 3 ?
Anything to do with Zelda or Mario ?
All updates of older games I know, but in Nintendo's hands, sequels can really be done well (not all the time though heh).

It was nice to see Punch out, but it has to use the motion plus to really warrant a purchase over the likes of Wii Sports (boxing), Victorious Boxers Challenge and the boxing title EA are ofcourse working on.

Im losing interest Nintendo, and Ive been around since the begining of the NES. I can only stay loyal for so long if you keep this up.

It's important to note that this was only the NOJ conference (and thus features some games which may turn out to be Japan only), NOA are holding theirs later today... We might see a couple more western oriented games then...

Ahh now there's an idea! Sure the company would probably have gone bust long ago, but then I don't really care about how much money each company makes, just the games avaliable on each machine. Figures mean nothing, give me a lasting experiance.

Eh? They haven't decided that at all. The reason it hasn't been released here (or indeed in America) yet is because they're still working on the translation.

Currentely, as far as I'm aware (I may be wrong though) no annoucement has been made in regards to Fatal Frame 4 getting an oversees release. I really hope we hear something soon though. It's a cracking game. Let's wait and see the US annoucements, then we'll know! *crosses fingers*

There were quite a lot of cool looking games in that showreel, however I can't for the life of me match the names up with most of them. There was at least one great looking platform game in there pluse a couple of old school looking 2D scrolling slash em ups.

I hope Heroes vs Capcom will allow use the classic controller.

I also want Pilot Wings and Fatal frame, but it must be remembered that this list is most likely not exhaustive.

Plus we have the NOA games to find out yet (which may just include pilot wings, unless this is part of NOEs jurisdiction)

Ya it is Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Cross Generation of Heroes

A Vs game like Capcom Vs SNK
It looks good if I have to get a Japanese Wii I will!!!
unforgetable on 2 Oct '08
Its all just run of the mill stuff, nothing interesting at all, Nintendo needs to up its game in the software department, there is no game for the Wii that I want for the foreseeable future!
