Rockstar has told CVG that Manhunt 2 will be released in the UK on October 31.
Confirming an earlier IGN report, a company rep told us that the game, which was originally refused a rating last year by the British Board of Film Classification for its "unremitting bleakness and callousness of tone", will be hitting stores on the last day of the month.
So, come Halloween, a full year after the game was released in the States, UK Wii, PS2 and PSP owners will finally be able to make up their own minds if Manhunt 2 was worth all the fuss.
But have UK punters grown tired of waiting for a game which has had to be heavily modified to secure a release? And might it have sold more had it been released last year when it was hitting the headlines, albeit for all the wrong reasons?
Personally I wouldn't buy this game. The main reason is it's on PS2, PSP & Wii which means it'll have last gen graphics, LAME!

If you've played it fair enough with that statement. But I doubht it. In fairness the cut version is terrible. Thats why I'm not buying it. But I have played the uncut version through one of my friends wiis and it is a vast improvement over the original.

No...what i will do however is stick that s**tty FFVII in my PS2 and play that. Maybe ill dig the gamecube out and play that utterly awful Eternal Darkness, maybe play that pile of crap that is Zelda: Ocarina of Time on the GBA. Then ill stick Morrowind on my 360 and frown upon those graphics before going laughing at the Abysmal Diablo 1 and Fallout 1 and 2 on my PC.
Everyone knows Graphcis must be the sole reason to play games. Thats surely why the Nintendo Wii has only sold 5 units....
I still want this (though still not as much due to it being censored...), just unfortunately it's out on the same day as Fallout 3 and if I get any game that day it'll be Fallout. Will still get this eventually though 'cos despite the cuts I've still been looking forward to it.

This game got a pretty mixed review, but I bought it last Halloween (US). I really enjoy this game and pick it up and play it again every so often. I enjoy the atmosphere of it as well as the story. Main problem is the whole "What the hell is going on" feel of the executions because they're all blurry and hazy, but that's completely forgivable since we never got the game at all.
I think you UKers will enjoy it...But that's just me (survival horror nut, ala Shadowman).
