The UK Resistance 2 public beta will kick off on Monday 20 October and will run through to 13 November, Sony has confirmed to CVG.
Initial access keys for the beta - around 7000 - are being given out via the internet, but there's every chance more could be made available a little later.
The US public beta kicked off today, so it's all go over the pond. If any of our US readers could tell us exactly what's in the beta, that would be jolly nice of you.
really want to give this game a chance. Only played the demo of the first and thought it was garbage. But hoping that this is a worthy contender to gears 2.
I've just finished giving RFoM a second play through just to get me in the mood for the sequel. A very good game with just a few flaws. I cannot wait for this new one.
So do you guys reccomend getting it even though I thought the first (demo) was little less than average? I do like the look of the second with those big b@stard monsters in.
Im looking forward to an epic battle, and dont want to be let down it that way that gears did.
Dont critisise me for comparing it to gears please...
I would recommend getting it. Resistance: FOM, was good but not great. For a launch title it went well enough though. It's downsides in my eyes were the graphics, and some early balancing issues online, most of which were resolved later on. Resistance 2 though, has been given a lot of time from a quality developer to make a truly next-gen game. Unlike R:FOM which felt slightly like a PS2 game at times.
The commentary in the first one didn't bother me that much, she was better than Hale. If Hale had done it himself it would've ruined his character.
Download took about 30 mins. competetive online play was ok. (not to many players online)... The co-op game I did play was great.... TRYING TO PLAY A GAME ...another issue all together kept getting sever time outs. PS3 actually froze up once and had to rebbot. out of 2 hours played 7 games rest of time spent trying to get on.. to many server timeouts games clocking with no results when trying to get in a match (of any type).. CANT BELIVE they are still having server issues so close to launch of game!!!!! Hopefully have better luck tonight.
