Sony's portable is flying off shelves in Japan, where the new PSP-3000 went on sale on October 16.
Early sales figures show Sony having sold an astonishing 141, 270 of the new-shape portables in its first four days in shops.
It seems some of the new machine's shiny appeal is glaring off the older models too. Sales of the PSP-1000 and PSP-2000 combines have shot up from around the 20 thousand mark in recent weeks to 155, 720 last week, according to Famitsu figures (via Kotaku). It's like PSP fever has hit Japan.
We'll soon see if the new PSP, which hit our stores on October 17 for £149.99, is having the same effect over here. Have you bought one?
bought it on saturday and well, i have been plagued with issues
-DNLA errors when connecting to PS Store on version 5.o -Interlacing issues with new screen EVERY PSP 3000 HAS GOT IT so fast moving videos and games especially FIFA 09 AND RATCHET AND CLANK will all be hit. Its like playing on GBA Advance at mo IMO -You can see the backlight through the speakers -Low sound quality microphone
I hope Sony sort out these issues especially the interlacing and DNLA errors.
