Joysticks: And the one to watch is...?

See what game will most likely own next year's awards
Surprise! Or Not? Or is it? Call of Duty: World at War has picked up the Play.com One to Watch award, beating both Fable II and Gears of War 2.

If the beta was anything to go by it wouldn't be too hard to imagine World at War coming out strong at next year's awards. After all Modern Warfare has clearly gone down a treat at this year's ceremony and it's something you all love to bits.

You can check out our coverage so far on Call of Duty: World at War here. Round of applause for CoD then. Well done.

Hm. Guess time will tell. Personally the reason I was so sold on CoD4 was because of it's contemporary setting coupled with a very well executed frenetic fighting style. I imagine the frenetic fighting style will still be there in the fifth installment just as it has been in all the previous ones but I for one am sick and tired of the WWII setting. CoD5 will probably be a commercial success but I am far from enthused about the setting Activision choose for it and I do not plan on buying it when it's released. Give me some more of the CoD4 setting and we can talk business.
