Happy shoppers over the pond have spotted a new 'multiplayer controller kit' for Wii, packing a Wii Remote, Nunchuk and Wii Wheel in one box.
Nintendo snuck that one out quietly, and it sounds like a good idea too - until you look at the price. It's being sold in some retailers for $74.99 (around £49).
Now, going by RRP, the Wii Remote costs $39.99, the Nunchuk $19.99 and the Wheel $14.99. So you save - nothing.
In fact, we've checked some online retailer sites where buying each controller separately would come to less than $65.
Nintendo tells us it has "no plans at the moment" to release the pack in UK.
& then you say you can even buy them seperate for cheaper after a litle shopping around? God, Nintendo really are bottomholes.
I hope it doesnt come out over here. If previous price increases are anything to go by when things get released here after America we'll end up paying almost twice as much. It'd be around Ł70-80 here.
I must admit that I haven't bought any controllers for a while because I have enough for my needs, but when I was trying to track down a nunchuck to go with the remote I got free with Wii Play, I really struggled finding one, and I remember the official Wii Wheels were hard to find at one point.
So what I'm saying is, a bundle is a good idea for those reasons, but they could have given a small discount!
