The Killers next for Guitar Hero

Track pack arriving with new album later this month
The Killers are the next band to receive the Guitar Hero: World Tour downloadable content treatment, Activision has revealed.

The Killers track pack will arrive alongside the band's new album, Day & Age on November 25, says the publisher. We're blaring Sam's Town out in the office to celebrate (HR won't mind).

Tunes in the pack include "Human" and "Losing Touch" from the new, along with older classics like "Mr. Brightside". The DLC will go for 440 Microsoft Points (£3.70) on Xbox Live and roughly £3.70 on the PlayStation Store, going by dollar-to-pound conversions.

Tracks will also be available individually for 160 Microsoft Points on 360, $1.99 on PS3 and 200 Wii Points on Nintendo's box.

Now I have to buy World Tour. Was going to skip this one, but now it's getting The Killers treatment, I'm sold.

Well, it's nice to see that they're trying to keep up with Harmonix - quite a way to go, however.

I probably won't pick this up - I'd have to say that I consider the Killers as possibly the most over-rated bands I've heard for a very long time.

I got the Hendrix pack last night and it's pretty good - 'Little Wing' is really good, 'Fire' is amazing, but 'If 6 Was 9' is almost utterly pointless....mind you, it's really not a great Hendrix record - so, it's probably no surprise....at least this means it won't end up on the GH: Hendrix game that should be fully announced soon.

I'm sold its Guitar Hero for me

ParmaViolet you really don't know what your talking about when you say the Killers are overrated
y2jimbob_2001 on 14 Nov '08
If they put the whole album up for download I'd consider buying the game. I prefer the DLC content for Guitar Hero over the dross that gets released for Rock Band.

They need a harder difficulty mode for new Guitar Hero games. Anything below Expert bores me untill you get to the last few hard tracks.
I went into my local Game store and was battering songs I'd never played on the hardest difficulty.

Or maybe I should just get the drums =P

Oh really? - so, I'm not entitled to an opinion?

Besides, I'm pretty sure I have a really, really good idea about what music I do and do not like...but thanks for the childish insult.

Woohoo! Was hopin theyd get a trackpack. Saw them at the Albert Hall a few weeks ago and they were awesome Very Happy

Squall5005 has a point, some of the lower difficulties are slower but they're for the people who can't "think and do" fast enough. As for expert, once you've mastered it, you've learned a party piece for the next time you want to play head to head with the other guy who brags about his high scores.

Did you know that the lead singer for the Killers is actually a Mormon! Shocked
seancuk23 on 17 Nov '08
I like the killers alot! Atleast it's only a song pack though, and not something like the Aerosmith expansion. I think Queen should get the Guitar Hero treatment for World Tour.
