The first magazine previews of Sony's recently-revealed Uncharted 2: Among Thieves have landed and, as expected, grainy scans are circulating the info-hungry world of the internet.
The first trailer (which you can see here) didn't give away an awful lot, but the first in-game images and actual gameplay details are trickling out from scans of a Game Informer preview.
Looks great. I'm interested to see how much they change the gameplay as they already seem to have stealth involved. I think stealth sections would make a nice change of pace and add more diversity to the experience.
My only concern is they don't do a Tomb Raider 2 and try to make the game too complicated. Uncharteds charm was its simple game play. Why take away the six axis grenade throwing? It was the only thing I really liked about the six axis!
The simplicity of the first one was my major gripe with the game. I was just far too easy, required little or no thought for any of the puzzles, and I found myself getting ored after a while. Finished the game in 2 sittings, and haven't felt the urge to go back and try any unlock stuff.
Can't wait for this I loved the first one and I found the grenade six axis was pretty good to use but I was always s**t at using it for the beam crossing sections hopefully they would have got rid of that as well.
I'm pretty excited about this. I picked up the first one not expecting much and was plesantly surprised. If it wasn't for the glut of new games out now I'd be playing through it for the trophies.
if going from 30% to 100% use of the PS3's translates into the game being that much better then this will be great!
As long as there's more freedom with climbing, like several paths and not clearly marked out, and as long as every time you walk into a room with pillars you aren't ambushed by 4 or 5 men it'll be amazing. Though I'd buy it if it was pretty much the same game with a new setting.
the 1st game was incredable, one of the 1st games i brought with me ps3, and i just fell in love with it! it was just a perfect cross of lara croft meets john maclane! i dont mind them tweaking bits and pieces, since every tweak they did with the ps1 crashs and the jak and daxters were always a step up, just as long as they dont follow what other companies are doing, what with taking the success of others games and taking pieces from it... but hey, it's naughty dog, and if you want a game done right, chuck a paw print on it!!! (or a moon from insomnia, but hey, this is the dog's time to shine!!!)
