Microsoft has confirmed that Xbox Live Primetime, a channel of online gameshows where Xbox 360 players can win real-world prizes, is still on track for launch this Spring.
Speaking during Microsoft's CES press conference in Las Vegas last night, E&DD boss Robbie Bach confirmed that the social feature is still on track for Spring and showed off 1 vs. 100 on stage - though without another 99 Xbox Live users to help.
Questions demoed at CES included one on college football (fingers crossed that doesn't make it to Europe) and another on recent film The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, which suggests the content will be quite topical at least.
The service, including TV show spin-off game 1 vs. 100, was originally intended to launch alongside the New Xbox Experience in November last year, but obviously missed the boat.
I know its more an App than a game but as I already stated, I think this could be pretty special if done correctly, dare I say a USP?
Anyhoo's, im always up for winning some prizes (just make sure it's money!!!)
Yep I think you're right about it being a USP, these type of gameshows/quizzes on TV are usually pretty popular so I can see the same happening online especially if prizes are up for grabs...just as long as Golden Balls is kept out of it!
