Another batch of comical lifestyle shots for Wii

This time from EA...
This is how EA imagines the scene when people get to play its upcoming unofficial Wii Fit follow-up game/workout, EA Sports Active.

EA says the game's been designed with the help of fitness experts to give YOU "fun, easy to learn exercises and activities that create a western fitness circuit you can do with family and friends, all from the convenience of your living room."

Wonder what that's like? "It's like having your very own personal trainer in the comfort of your home, offering the promise of a better you, in just 20 minutes a day."

Let's hope it doesn't call us fat the first time we stand on the Balance Board like WiiFit did.

See, the Wiimotes play practically no part in any of these activities. They show her using an elastic tension cable, which is what's actually doing the work - not the console.

And you can pick those cables up for between Ł5 and Ł10. For the price of a Wii and just one of these wastes of time, you could have a pretty decent set of home gym equipment.

Does a stupid voice telling you how well you're doing and nagging you if you don't do it, really help that much?

This is the biggest pile of pish since Wii Fit, Wii Music, Wii Sports, Wii Play and Wii Wipe Our bottom...but then for some reason morons ACTUALLY buy this stuff. The Wii's games remind me of cheap 99p toys that break before you get them out the packet. How many more cheap plasticy pieces of hardware are they gonna add to this "console".

There are professional trainers and work out tapes aren't there?

The Wii Fit is just trying to motivate you. I guess I can see how it would offend some.

This is a video I just posted this week about my own Wii Fit obsession. Thought you might like.
