Just in this morning is a brand new Killzone 2 trailer that will show you why Guerrilla's shooter will be giving your PS3's microchips a thorough workout when it lands on February 25.
It'll also give you a sneak peek at some of the game's later environments and enemies - the one's game director Mathijs de Jonge was talking about when he responded to the 'grey' criticisms in a statement to CVG.
But if you're looking forward to the game this'll only make you want it more. It's going to be a long six weeks (...for you. We've finished it).

Looks good theres no doubt , but not much of a leap from COD 4 iwas unmoved feeling although i had seen the same thing many times before.
I think the game play will be the deciding factor for this game. I hope it improves onthe first or this will be the biggest waste of money since that chocolate tea pot i bought

ANY leap over CoD4 is major.. and youve seen this many times before? you mean FPS'? thats what its supposed to be! dont like them, dont buy it.
my favourite genres of games are the "generic" type i.e. shooting, racing etc. doesnt matter if the market is saturated with these types of games. its when they are done right within a robust package that these generic games become some of the best titles on the platform... they are popular for a reason.
Hope that the slo mo was intentional for the trailer and it doesn't justgo into slo mo everytime you kill someone.
that could get very tedious very quickly.
Pretty much justifies the grey argument though.
even the sky is grey.
The sun and flame effects were mighty impressive though.
I don't think there is any slo-mo in the full game. I think they have made this vid to show off the ragdoll effects, which I must admit look very good.
We can all look forward to FEAR 2 for our slo-mo fix.

Blimey, two potentially great shooters incoming!
good good. The ragdolling is rather cool.
So which platform do you think for Fear 2 360 or PS3.
obviously the PC version is going to best but my old junker can barely play spore.
Should really go back and finish the first one.
@ crimbo - doesn't matter if it was part of a presentation It's still a trailer.
i'm aware of that. However look at the format of the video. It opens with a PS3 logo and then after the main bulk of the rag dolling video it reveals the games title.
It is a trailer through and through.
If it was merely part of a company presentation and not meant to create excitement and interest by 3rd parties it wouldn't have been cut like that.
There would have been a guy talking us through the ins and outs of the physics engine and what not.
Hopefully the game will be so good that the Sony Defence Force will be too busy playing their 'GOTY' to come onto the forums and enlighten us with their usual comments and general chit chat?
This isn't aimed at KZ2, but I can't get particularly excited graphically about a small, highly compressed trailer.
Even youtube vids look good on my iphone screen!
I'm sure they game will be a great example of an FPS. Along with all the others that will invariably come out as MS and Sony continue to lead us down the more-of-the-same-but-BIGGER!!!!!! cul-de-sac.
I did mean to say it does look good though!!! Just the arguments that people make about whether textures are good/bad, detail etc is almost impossible to judge on a streaming vid or a still. I just got my wii back, and it has reminded me what I loved about it - i.e something fresh and fun! Some new games would be nice though and a proper FPS like the other consoles have in abundance would be really, really, appreciated!

Surley it's not that good?
Yeah man that's not the first time you posted that comment and it was just as dull this time. Bit rich coming from a guy that wets himself at the mention of Alan Wake and bites the head of anyone that says anything about it.

A Wii owner doesn't need to be excited by visuals anymore. And at the end of the day, fun is the most important aspect of any hobby. Though if you do fancy a decent 1st person game, I would heartily recommend that you bolster your collection of consoles with either a 360 or PS3. They have more fps's than you can shake a wii-mote at!

I've got a 360 and I love good graphics, what I mean is you can't generally tell whether game A is graphically better than game B from small vids! I love OTT rag doll physics though, on GTA4 it was boss. I hated it on multiplayer when the host would cut the respawn time to zero and you couldn't see yourself getting blown across town by a grenade!
FPS's on dual analogues, while they can still be very fun, just don't really do it for me after MP3, MoH etc. I've got Halo3 and HL2, but had the latter on the PC, which played better and looked the same. I want a proper detailed, non PS2 port on the wii, and I don't know what it is about The Conduit, but I cant say I'm excited by it. I'm more excited by the wii versions of the first two Metroids!

Me too bud. Been playing the jap version of the wiimake of pikmin and i have to say that it controls how you always dreamed the series would. really reinvigorates it.
If the controls on prime one and two are as sharp as 3 then i'll definately give em another whirl.

Yeah, must admit that The Conduit does look more than a little generic. I love the Metroid games, but I didn't get on with the Wii version as it gave me hand cramp having to press shoot all the time using (I seem to recall) the A button - it just didn't feel natural. I could only play it for up to an hour before the pain and anguish became too much to bear!
you could change the controls around so that you could fire with B. made it feel a lot more shooty. Don't think it'd do much for hand cramp though.
You tried playing with the cover thingy on. I find it make the controller a lot comfier.
Maybe if that gun-like peripheral was available at the time, I would have stuck at it. An autofire option would have been more appropriate for my ailing hand.

Then again glass half full
Talking about repeating things, remember ? I see you have refrained from using that as much as you used too but still cant tear yourself a away from a wee dig can you?
Your too predicatble to be classed as amusing voodoo, though of course your wit cannot see this!
Keep going though, everyone else loves it! (Did you like that? That was for you .)

Not much of a leap from COD4????? What about destructable secenery, Futuristic setting, Smoother graphics, Individual game design (nothing else looks like it) I COULD GO ON..... And have u even played the first Killzone, I very much doubt it beacuse any FPS fan who loves hardcore shooters, appreciated Killzone for what it was... Just get over COD (BFBC trumps COD IMO) beacuse Killzone2 is the FPS to rule 2009!!
has anyone seen MS response to Killzone2 HALO WARS It looks so basic it laughable!!
I'm still not sold on this. The graphics and effects are gorgeous and the animations are tasty, but I've yet to see anything great gameplay wise.
Last time I saw proper gameplay, the enemies where taking cover in front of cover and running into your bullets all too willing to show off their death animations. And from what I saw the level design was tight and linear.
Looks like a tech demo with ripped off COD 4 gameplay to me, but slower.

Whos played this? I have its awesome, my 360 loving friend, and he was banging on bout this more than I - congrats Sony, you have converted at least 1 hater!
