Star Ocean 2 PSP dated

PSP remake of the second Star Ocean out next month
Star Ocean: Second Evolution, a PSP update of the second game in the classic Star Ocean series, will hit UK shops on February 13, and we've got some new screens.

Sticking faithfully to the plot of the original, Second Evolution is set in Space Date 366, when a young Federation officer finds himself transported to a mystical planet.

According to the blurb, "he is suddenly anointed as the Hero of Light. He begins a journey to fulfil a prophecy and save a newfound race."

The PSP remake dons "a revised game engine, an improved battle system and fully-voiced, all-new animated scenes displayed in 16:9 widescreen," as well as "a newly added layer of character interaction".

Second. It came out last week in the states and I've heard its pretty much identical to the remake of Star Ocean 1 that came out in October.

Seems odd to me that they are releasing all the old Star Ocean games on the PSP when the new Star Ocean is a360 exclusive.

Guess its just like before Sony had a handheld and a lot of odd franchises found thier way onto the GBA.

Shame they're not on the ds though. but it already has its fair share of good rpg remakes.

Good to see a decent game on the PSP for a change.
