In just under seven days' time, Square will announce something Final Fantasy-related to the world.
A teasing countdown website has appeared online which reads, "The countdown has begun. A new vision will soon be revealed to the world. Register now to ensure you're there for the unveiling."
Whatever it is, Square says it won't be rubbish
Okay, you've got our attention Square Enix. But don't let us down by announcing a deal with Chewits for Final Fantasy branded packets of our favourite soft chews.
i know this wont happen but it would be cool. They say that they have working on the game longer then we think, and they have translated the game for every country, and announcace a world release within 6 month. before people mock me, i know there is 0% of this happening, but everyone would love it if it did

Call me Captain Obvious, but the announcement is going to be FF13 related. Last time I checked, FF7 and FF6 have nothing to do with FF13.
I guess it'll be either in-game trailer for FF13 (with the demo coming to japan in a while I would say they want to show the in-game graphics themselves rather than by some nobody on youtube) or release date for US and EU
I think that when the clock reaches zero, Square will suddenly realise that making exclusive games for 360 was the stupidest thing that they have ever done.
Mind you, I realised a while ago that they had entered the average RPG extroardinares section of my brain. Sure, the new FF will excite everybody with lovely looking screenshots for the next year....

Infinite Undiscovery is only exclusive as that was a MS/Tri-Ace game to begin with. Last Remnant is appearing on the PS3, and I believe Star Ocean will end up on the platform too.

But I'm sure you have posted on these forums that the PS3 exclusive WKC is already a winner in your book, even though you have not played that either. I seem to remember you saying that people should make their minds up by "actually" trying the games first, whats changed?

No he wanted to waste forum space like your posts do.
The announcement for a remake of FFVII is a few years off I'd say- they're going to save that ace for a time where they're not doing so well- I think they'll remain content to release more films and spinoffs, as well as the stellar amount of merchandise they're shifting off the brand.
Obviously this is a world trailer for FFXIII; might we possibly see the intro to the game here, who knows.
