Take-Two will release the second Xbox 360-exclusive Grand Theft Auto IV episode and BioShock 2 before the end of its fiscal year on October 31.
The publisher confirmed the news as it reported losses for its first fiscal quarter, although expectedly no details about the GTA DLC were revealed.
Take-Two CEO Ben Feder said that the first batch of GTA IV DLC, The Lost and Damned, "eclipsed first day revenue for all previous downloadable content on Xbox Live", adding that DLC "will continue to be an important part of our business going forward".
Take-Two also said it had shipped over 13 million units of Grand Theft Auto IV as of January 31, 2009.
In its release schedule the publisher said that it is still to be announced which platforms BioShock 2 will apear on (PC, 360 and PS3 is a safe bet). The company made no mention of Big Sisters either.
Here's the complete list of Take-Two games set to release ahead of November:
No way. I still believe Brucie gets up to certain activities that I don't want to see! If you're into that kind of thing that's cool, but after seeing THAT cut-scene in L&D who knows what Rockstar will show next...
i'm thinking it'll be about Playboy X and will be about his rise to success. there are a lot of side characters in the game that could have their stories fleshed out. just as long as it isn't that dour faced useless bastard Dwayne.

It's most likely the guy they're talking about in this article. http://kotaku.com/5148800/rockstar-neither-confirms---nor-denies---luis-rumor
I hope to god it's not Playboy X, I killed him because he's a tw@.
Yeah it is most likely to be Luis... he's the only other character who reappears in cut scenes that is never in "in game" action, and the "Impossible Trinity" achievement kinda points it in that direction too... and...
*****Spoilers for TLAD******
In the end credits of lost and the damned you see the museum mission from the outside. You see Johnny leave, then Niko leave, then the camera pans up to show Luis running across the roof and firing.
Seems like a no brainer to me but you never know...
I wonder if the fans are right and its the Dominican Dealer that you play as for the 2nd episode, bit of a coincidence that Nico, Johnny and that dude appear when you get the Achievement called 'Impossible Trinity', no?

that does look more likely, especially with the link in the police database stating that Niko, Johnny, Luis and Hwoaa or whatever his name is are the only people that have been done for GTA in liberty city.
and i killed Playboy X too just to get the achievement for getting all friends to like you. after it had unlocked i wished i'd created another save just to stop Dwayne from phoning with his bloody depressing voice. still afterwards i found the silent mode on the phone and finished the game without any further interruptions
doubt it will be such a prominant character, since they're major parts to the story and they feature heavily. Johnny was in one or two missions. It'll be someone else. Personally, I'm hoping for Lazlow, running around Liberty City annoying people with his radio show. lol, jk. If I had to choose someone to play as, it would probably be Francis McReary, I've always said you should be able to be a cop in gta every now and then. Yes, he's corrupt, yes, everyone hates the bastard, but whats new? Seems like a perfect character.

I really like that idea - being a cop in GTA would be great.....especially a corrupt one.
I must admit I'm missing the good old Mafia hench man character... although I'd love to play as Real Bad Man.
Something else that I noticed. The mission after you fly the helicopter with Little Jacob, he sends you a text saying you should "fly to Jamrock" one day...
This kind of echoes what Ray pagers you in GTA III when he said "see you in Miami, kid", the next game after that being Vice City...
Although the chances of the next GTA being in Jamaica/Jamrock have got to be slim to none... but maybe a stop gap a la GTA: London 1969?

I would love a GTA: Jamaica. Unfortunately I don't see it happening, I can see the "WTF!!! I can't understand a thing they're saying!" posts already.
i hope they arent wasting all their GTA staff on a DLC patch that will extend the game by ten hours. thats a year they have been working on that!
hopefully there is a GTA5 crew working seperately.
if they are using all their GTA staff on the DLC, thats a big waste. most people wont even play it, it only extends the life of the game by 10 hours (i got 100 hours out of GTA4 playing it properly) and they are supposed to be giving the 50m back to MS. no wonder they are in debt.
for the time and resources is dont think its worth it, unless it is only a few people working on it. they'd be better investing in GTA5.

Rockstar aren't in debt, Take 2 are. Rockstar are actually making money for them and if the analyst projections are correct, then the first DLC will have raised most of the 50 million loan by the end of the year.
Not heard anything new on Mafia 2 for months now, I was starting to get worried. Loved the original, can't wait to play the sequel - hoping for some sort of multiplayer this time though.
I killed Dwayne too. But X's sad phonecalls did get slightly annoying. I wish they didn't get p**sed at you each time you refused to meet up with them, maybe after something like three calls or if you just ignore their calls without returning them?
I've liked what I've played of LatD so far, but I don't seem to warm (not sure if that's the right word) to Johnny like I did with Niko. His attitude is a bit annoying.
But it's still great and kinda makes Liberty seem like a whole new city. I must've played for five hours or so and I've just been reaquainting myself with the place, only done about five missions, if that. From the point of view of making Liberty City feel new, I think them waiting for ten months to release the DLC was a good plan.

The delay definitely worked in their favour. I agree about Johnny's character as well, I wouldn't say he was annoying, just a charmless soul. Niko had a good sense of humour, which helped me like him more than Johnny.
