Coca-Cola is teaming up with Microsoft this week to give away $37,000 (£25,000) worth of Xbox 360 Microsoft Points. As in, they're free.
The partnership will see three million points given away via a Happiness Factory promotion on Xbox Live - and it's 'first come, first served'.
360 users will be whisked off to the Coke Zone site where they can register for their points and then spend them on lots of nice Xbox things, like videos or games.
Let us know if you win and what you'll spend the points on.
Not sure what I would spend the points on, probably the Pit for Fallout 3 and the Street Fighter Arcade game. Wouldn't mind winning something, never win anything
So its going to be done on a first come first serve basis? Brilliant! I wont get in the house tonight until at least 6pm! Hopefully theres a wee 50 MS points left, as im currently stuck on 750 MS points and another 50 woud allow me to get a new game.
Outrun 2 is looking sort of cool, but I'd want a demo before I bought it in case it feels wrong. It's never going to match up to the old arcade versions though
Which reminds me - why have we never seen any remakes of Chase HQ?
I just signed in to xbox live but it isnt letting me on the cokezone website, I looked on the 'Spotlight' and the 'Inside Xbox' menu's, how does it work?

Well it felt perfect to me on original Xbox so i dont see how it can go wrong.

These kind of promotions are nearly always for the usa only. The fact that there is no imformation anywhere for this promotion leads me to believe this may be the case.
I will believe it when I see it. Xbox Live updates around 10am here but its a global service so when its updated we all get updated at the same time, its just the time difference.
Well if your signed up to coke zone I'm sure they would send out an e-mail about it, and if its something that's going to appear on XboxLive or Xbox.com then I sure majornelson.com would post some info in it. So I hope its not started yet,
Yay, free points to sling at overpriced crapola on the xbox marketplace!!!!
I was gonna say it wasn't overpriced, but a lot of it is. Err... carry on, sir, nothing to see here
I'm a little more concerned about the lack of HDD space I have left for stuff like this. Right now I have a few Gb, but a demo and a few XBLA games and I'll be out.

"In addition the campaign will see two media firsts in the form of an innovative new Xbox partnership. This will include a 3 million Xbox point giveaway, online 'Coca-Cola' Xbox gaming gurus giving tips and advice and the chance for gamers to customize their Xbox dashboard."
featuring an exclusive global track by a super group of international stars including Cee-lo and members of Fall Out Boy, Gym Class Heroes and Panic at the Disco
Did they just call a mixture of those bands a supergroup???

Was wondering too. I wonder if that means we're about to get an update to this tacked onto the bottom with some actual detail about how to get in on the action.
