Midway has been hitting headlines recently for all the wrong reasons, but it seems the veteran publisher/developer is coming out fighting, teasing an "awesome" unannounced game.
Midway's community manager kicked off with a willy-waving Twitter post saying: "A sweet new demo of an early-stage game just arrived in my office. Color me excited."
Another Midway rep has confirmed it's an unannounced title which they confidently describe as "awesome", and that we should "stay tuned for more info".
They also told Thatgamingsite that Midway had more "down the pipe".
It seems like every week a different company makes an announcement about announcing something. It needs to stop. Just show us the trailer and be done with it.

They're just getting warmed up, Mantis! Similar to how there are/were pre-, pre-meetings to the pre-meetings of having a meeting with Bill Gates at MS. You know you like it.
On a more serious note, I concur with your sentiment. It does seem to border on the inane, and even outright ridiculous, at times with some of these pre-announcements.
Fairly safe bet that it's not going to be a new IP - I doubt they're in healthy enough financial shape to risk that. So an existing one then, that isn't MK.
Spy Hunter? Rampage? NBA Jam? Cruisin' USA?
Course they also published Killer Instinct, but that's a little too much to hope for.
Ye mantis i totally agree mate, im getting sick of all this announcement crap week in week out, im not going to bat an eyelid from now on unless its got a video attached to the topic.
I have yet to be actually impressed with any companies so called awesome announcements. When we ultimately find out, there is always a 50/50 ratio of people saying 'Woohoo!' and people saying 'Meeeeeeeeeh!'
Stranglehold 2? The first made me feel excited, and... Speaking to MCV following Midway's 2008 Gamers' Day in Las Vegas, International Executive Vice President Martin Spiess has revealed that the publisher is looking into ways to turn the successful Stranglehold video game into a franchise.
Asked if Midway could see the game becoming a franchise, Spiess said: "That's actually a discussion we're having internally right now. I think we have built a great level of brand equity with Stranglehold and that's something we shouldn't give up on."
Spiess continued: "We are looking into various possibilities in order to sequelise the franchise. News will be announced soon in regards to it."
I can't be the only one expecting the announcement to be MK Vs DC: Brutal Edition?
Though, taking a moment not to be so cynical, I do hope that they are able to come up with something special to get them out of their problems, would be a shame to see them go.
