The pack includes the new survival mode, which challenges players to hold out against a never ending wave of infected for as long as possible, as well as the addition of the Dead Air and Death Toll campaigns in Versus mode.
Valve has previously said that the DLC pack will be released on Xbox 360 and PC simultaneously, so we'd say it's a fair bet that mouse and keyboard gamers will see the add-on on the same date.
Oh well got 2 excellent games for 1 with the trade in (Burnout Paradise and Castle Crashers)
I love/d Left 4 Dead demo and was sooooOOOO excited when I got the game but felt they could have added more to it AND WAS NOT WORTH £40-£45!

I got Left 4 Dead for £25 not too long after it came out from Play.com, worth every penny too as I play a lot of it, I thought it would get old playing the same maps over and over but Versus mode across two of them has kept me entertained for ages.
The best bit of the S-pack is the SDK for L4D. Just think at all the properly done levels to come out of it rather than the good, but polish-less levels out at the moment. Hopefully there will be server side additions too like quake/unreal voices and custom maps. I still feel Valve ripped us off charging full price in the beginning, but we got our copies for £20 so we can't complain too much about the lack of content. Lets just hope we get some good free official campaign/versus maps in the future. Some new expert achievements would also be appreciated.
left for dead is one of the best games i have ever played - having these new features will make it a true classic well worth the money - even if you only played it once you must try this game i was worried it was a game you only played online with friends, but you just jump into a lobby and off you go - bo bo bo bo boomer!
I haven't even really played the versus mode, I just get nailed really quickly when I play as one of the infected.
Djstar, you didn't even play all the campaigns? Shocking!! I just have fun going through the campaigns, playing with different people makes for a different (though not a radically different) experience each time. I've upped the difficulty on a few occasions, but often I just go into a lobby, play any campaign on medium and have a blast for an hour or so. Then I do another campaign!
If we get more campaigns, I would expect to pay for them. I'd rather not, but I expect we will.
At the same time Mogs, you should send your minion out to find that out for sure though.

That would be the puzzlingly named J1gsaw, I’m not sure what a J one G saw is but he does like sitting with Mogs on things. Which is just lovely for them both.
Why haven’t you brought back the bunnies yet? At least put some kind of nice animal up there frolicking around in la la land, they make everything so much nicer, a lot like diazepam.
L4D is my fave game on 360. i love how it never gets old. i planned on finishing all my other games then playing this all year. i think the free DLC is awesome of Valve. good on them. a game like this should have endless content.
